Sigh...

Things couldn't get any worse than this.

Brit filled Corine, Dean and Riddle in about the attackers. They were currently fighting Ape, Hip, Buff and Stealth, always shouting "Give us the girl!".

But of course, loyalty lies in their hearts and they refused to give. In the world of thieves, you can't trust anyone, you have to be cold and guarded, sometimes you can't even trust those you work with but there was one thing above all, if you are useful, their loyalty remains untouched and luckily, Corine's as useful as heck!

So, now they were risking their lives for her but they were outnumbered 5 to 1.

But luckily they had a trump card. The ghosts!

As they spoke, James was throwing furniture at the attackers and trying to manipulate monsters out of thin air to at least scare them, but the attackers were still relentless on Corine.

So that's why Brit was here, telling them all this so Dean and Riddle can go help them while Corine hide.

"Hide? You want me to hide while they risked their lives for me?!" Corine shouted.

"Yes," Brit said bluntly.

Corine was infuriated. Did you think that she was going to hide, not in the middle of the action. No way, hozey!

"Welp, I think not." Corine said and she started pulling out daggers, not the sword. It was still risky to show the sword around.

"No," Brit said firmly. "If you don't hide, I will force you,".

Corine was again infuriated as Dean and Riddle began protesting but through their protests, Corine thought hard.

Brit was a ghost and definitely much stronger than her. It would be futile to fight a ghost.

Right then was when she made her decision.

"Alright," Corine said, putting her hands up. Dean and Riddle looked shocked.

"I knew you would come to your senses," Brit said and gestured her to follow.

Dean and Riddle were shaking their heads, mouthing 'Why?'.

Corine just smirked and winked as she followed Brit. The two smiled and decided to dive into battle.

They understood. Good.

Brit was leading her to a single room.

"This is where you would hide," she said, bluntly.

"What makes it so special?" Corine asked.

"It is safe proof. No one can come in or get out without a special key," Brit explained.

"No one?" Corine asked.

"No one," Brit confirmed.

Good. Very good.

"And what is this special key?" Corine asked.

Brit showed the key by telekinesis and it was stunning gold with an eerie presence.

"I will unlocked you once the battle is over," Brit said.

Corine nodded while looking beyond Brit, looking shocked and scared.
