(Tuesday)
The next day, Ayano and I went our separate ways, preparing to do what we need to do in order for Ayano or Yan-kun to have Taro. I walked into the Occult Room and looked at the skull with a knife embedded in its head.
"They're always trying to summon a demon. I wonder why it never works?" I said. "I sometimes wonder why that happens to." I gasped and turned around, spotting Oka. "Oh. Oka, you scared me." I said. "I'm sorry..." She apologized.
"It's okay. But I do hope you accomplish summoning a demon. " I said, trying to support her.
"R-Really?"
"I mean it." I nodded my head.
"Wow... Thank you, Amaya. If you're interested in helping us summon a demon, you're always welcome to join the Occult Club."
"I might keep that in mind. Well, see ya later."
"Uh, Amaya..."
"Hmm?"
I stopped in my tracks and turned around, facing her. "My brother... asked about you yesterday." Oka mentioned. "He did?" I asked. "Yes... He was wondering... Um..." She shook her head. "Nothing." She said.
"Uh... okay, then. Bye." I said, waving to her.
I waved to her before heading to the Drama Club, trying to find something that might help Ayano win Taro's heart. "Huh? What's this?" I asked. I picked up the piece of paper and examined it. "It's the new script for the school play. Romeo and Juliet?" I mumbled.
I stuck my tongue out at the piece of paper because I hate Romeo and Juliet. I placed the script down and exited the Drama Club until I bumped into Kizana. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" She snapped. "Sorry." I apologized with a frown.
"What were you doing in there, anyway? Trying to steal my lead role in the play?" Kizana said. "I don't want your role, Kizana. I have to go." I walked past her and went down the hall until I got an idea in my head.
I took out my phone and texted Info-chan.
"Info-chan, it's Amaya."
"What do you need?"
"Is there any way I can frame Kokona for theft in order to lower her reputation?"
"There is. Would you like me to give you some information on how to frame her?"
"Yes."
"But of course... It won't be for free."
"What do you want in exchange?"
"Two panty shots."
"Hmm... Wait, I think I have panty shots of Mai Waifu and Midori Gurin. I'm sending them to you now."
"...I've received. Okay, now here's how to frame Kokona for theft. First, you'll need to steal Sakyu Basu's ring during lunch. Then, you'll need to place the ring in Kokona's bag. Once you've done that, report to the guidance counselor about Kokona."
"This will be perfect. Thanks a lot."
"Pleasure doing business with you."
I quickly ran to my sister as I found her behind a tree, spying on Taro and his sister as they were sitting by the water fountain. "Ayano," I gently tapped her shoulder and she turned around, facing me. "I found a way to lower Kokona's reputation." I informed.
"Did you?" She asked. "Uh-huh. Look." I said, showing her my phone so Ayano could look at the steps. "Ah... This'll be perfect. Nice work, Amaya. What would I do without you?" She said, smiling. "Probably kill the students. Then again, you would just do that anyway, right?" I asked.
"Shut up." She said, lightly hitting me on the head. Later that day, we went to our separate classes. As I was heading to class, I noticed something new in the Music Club. I went inside and went over to the turtle that was in there. "When did they put a turtle in here?" I mumbled.
I looked at the wastebasket, noticing it was full. "Doesn't anyone know how to empty the trash once it's full?" I asked as I walked over to the wastebasket. I looked at the clock, and noticed I had about five minutes until class started.
"Well, it won't take me that long to get this stuff into the incinerator." I told myself. I'll be in and out. I took the overflowing wastebasket and walked to the incinerator.
"Oh, man. Just my luck." I murmured to myself as I saw the delinquents. Acting casual, I walked towards the incinerator. "Are you looking for trouble?" The female delinquents said.
"You better not get in our way." The male delinquents said. I didn't reply as I walked past them. Once I dumped the trash into the incinerator, I walked away. As I was walking past the male delinquents, I tripped over one of their stupid weapons that they had sticking out in the open.
Due to that, I landed on one of the delinquents. "Get off!" He yelled, shoving me away from him. I landed on my stomach with a rough thud. "You brat! Look what you did! You broke my kendo stick!" I looked at his kendo stick, noticing it was broken in half.
"Whoops..." I said. I gasped as the male delinquent grabbed the front of my uniform shirt and lifted me off the ground. "You're gonna pay for that." He said, pulling his fist back. "Hands off!" I tried to pry his hand off me.
I wish I had a weapon of my own right now. The delinquent took out a switchblade and cut my cheek before shoving me back. I landed on the grass with a soft thus as he stood over me. "Hey! Leave her alone!" I opened my eyes and spotted Asu running this way.
"Asu?" I mumbled. I took a closer look at Asu. "No... Not Asu. It's her twin brother, Aso." I said to myself. "You gotta problem, punk?" He said to Aso. Aso got in front of me as he frowned at the delinquents.
"I don't know what your quarrel is with her, but I'm not letting you hurt her." Aso said. "Aso..." I whispered. "Well, somebody's gonna get me a new kendo stick!" The delinquent said before punching Aso in the stomach. Aso grunted before falling to his knees, clutching his stomach.
"Aso!" I quickly crawled to his side as the delinquent stood over us. "Heh. Is that all you got? I know little girls who hit harder than you." Aso taunted. The delinquent glared him as he was ready to hit Aso again.
Before the delinquent could make a move, I spoke up. "I'll buy you a new kendo stick! Just don't hurt him anymore!" I pleaded. The delinquent cracked his knuckles as he turned his attention towards me. "You better have it to me by tomorrow, brat." He said.
"I'll have it to you by then. I promise." I said. "You better." He repeated before walking back over to his group. I helped Aso to his feet and led him away from the delinquents. "I'm sorry I got you into this, Aso." I apologized.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm just glad you're safe." He said, grunting slightly as he held his stomach. "Come on, let's get you to the infirmary. You could seriously be injured." I said. "You're the one who needs to go to the infirmary. You have a cut on your cheek." Aso said.
"I'll be fine." I told him. "I've heard that before. Come on, I'll carry you there." He offered. But before I could object, Aso had already swept me off my feet. "My legs still work, Aso." I said, bluntly. "I know, but it wouldn't be polite if a gentlemen just let a lady walk on her own." He mentioned.
I stared at him with a blank face as he took me tot he infirmary. "Oh, my. You both look terrible. You didn't get into a fight, did you?" Muja asked. "Well... We kind of did." I answered as Muja took care of Aso.
After Muja was done treating us, Aso and I walked down the hall. "You know, you didn't have to save me. I could've handled the delinquents myself." I said. "You still would've gotten hurt." He mentioned. "So?" I said. I honestly didn't care if I got hurt.
"You know... I'd put my life on the line for you... if it ever came to that..." Aso informed. "Huh? What did you say?" I asked, wanting him to repeat that. "Nothing! Anyway, you should get to class. You're already late." He said, quickly.
"Okay. Thanks again for saving me." I said before heading to class.
Aso's POV
I sighed before chuckling to myself as I watched Amaya run off. "Amaya... You're truly something else."
