"What exactly did you do last night, Amaya?" Yan-kun asked as he carried me to school. Ayano walked beside him with a smile on her face. "Don't tell me you played, Yanvania: Senpai of the Night?" He guessed.

"...Maybe." I said. "I keep telling you it's not good to play that thing before you go to bed." He reminded me. "It's really good to have you back, Yan-kun." I said, hugging his neck. "It's good to be back, Sis." He replied, smiling.

"So, can someone explain to me why Budo walked me home?" I asked. "Oh, you didn't hear? Ayano has a crush on Budo." Yan-kun answered. "Say what?!" I asked. "You're doing a lot of talking for someone who doesn't like mornings." Ayano mentioned, making me laugh.

"Yo! Amaya!" Yan-kun turned around and we saw Aso running towards us. "Good morning, Aso." I greeted. "Hey. Good morning. How are you doing?" He asked. "Much better. Thanks for asking." I said.

"I see your brother and sister are looking alive and well. How are you guys doing, by the way?" He asked them. "Good, and better than ever." Yan-kun answered. "That's good to hear. You know, if you guys ever wanna join the Sports Club, the door's always open." Aso said.

"We'll keep that in mind. Thanks." Ayano said. "Great. See you guys later!" Aso headed off, running towards the school. "What was that about?" Yan-kun asked. "I think he just wanted to check on me and see how I'm doing." I said.

"Why?" Ayano asked.

"Don't tell me you did something wrong." Yan-kun said. "I didn't do anything wrong... except cut my wrist and tried to kill myself." I said.

"You did what?!" They yelled. "I was depressed without you guys! I'm sorry!" I said.

When we got to school, after a long talk of never trying to commit suicide, Ayano left to the Martial Arts Club to see Budo. "I can't believe that substitute teacher is still hear. Why can't he substitute some other class?" Yan-kun complained.

I shrugged my shoulders and my phone vibrated in my pocket. I looked at my phone as I got a text message from an unknown number. The text said, "Meet inside the garden maze."

I texted back, "Who is this?" But I didn't get a reply. It's probably Nemesis-kun. "I've gotta go." I said to Yan-kun. Once I changed my shoes, I ran down the hall, taking a shortcut to the garden maze. But I wasn't able to make it as I was pulled into the kidnapping room.

A pair of hands covered my mouth from behind and pulled me inside. "I finally have you, Amaya Aishi..."

I struggled against their hold, then bit down on their fingers. "Ouch!" They let me go, causing me to stumble forward and turned around. "Nemesis-kun?" I gasped. "You bite hard." He mentioned as he rubbed his hand. "I was startled. What did you expect?" I said, bluntly.

"Fair point." He replied. "What are you doing here? Didn't you want me to meet you inside the garden maze?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" Nemesis-kun asked.

"The text you just sent me. You asked me to meet you in the garden maze."

"Amaya, I didn't send you any text."

"Then, who sent me this?"

"Let me see the text."

I took out my phone and showed him the text. "There's no mistaking it. It has to be him." Nemesis-kun mumbled as he narrowed his eyes at the phone. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "The third player in our game. He sent you this text." He said.

"Are you sure?" I asked. "I'm positive." Nemesis-kun confirmed. "Nemesis-kun... This game that we're playing... What's the point of it? Ever since we came up with the game-"

"The game we made up... It wasn't meant for us to fight." He interrupted me. "Huh?" I tilted my head to the side in confusion while raising a brow. "I lied. When I first made up the game, I only wanted to protect you. You were the only one who... understood me. Made me feel... emotions." He said.

My eyes widened slightly as I couldn't believe my ears. This whole time, he just wanted to protect me, not kill me. "Nemesis-kun... You have to tell me. Who is the other player in the game? Please tell me. This game of ours has to end before someone gets hurt." I said.

I was afraid if this continued any longer, my brother and sister would get hurt again, and I don't want that. I can't let them get hurt again. "Just what I was thinking. All right, I'll tell you. The third player is... Mido Rana."
