Amaya's POV
"So, how's it going with Riku and Kokona?" I asked Ayano while we ate lunch with Yan-kun. "Pretty good. Soon, Kokona will fall for him and she'll no longer have an interest in Senpai. Which reminds me, I have to stay after school to help Riku study." She mentioned.
"Is it to boost his wisdom so it will make him more attractive?" Yan-kun asked. "That's the idea." Ayanao answered. "Amaya, make you come straight home after school." Yan-kun said. "Okay." I gave a nod. When lunch was over, I headed to class, walking past the Occult Club.
"Hmm..." The curiosity got the best of me as I entered the club. "Hello?" I called, quietly as I peered into the room. I looked around until I made sure no one was in the room. I went over to the bookcase and looked at the different types of books that were there.
"Pain Demon... Lust Demon... Flame Demon... Fun Girl? What's a Fun Girl?" I asked. "That's what we're trying to figure out as well."
I gasped and turned around. "Oko... You scared me. I didn't hear you come in." I said. "Sorry. I didn't intend to scare you." Oko apologized. "Uh... What are you doing?" I asked as I noticed he was walking towards.
'Stupid question. He's the Vice President of the Occult Club. He has a reason to be here.' I thought. "Uh... Oko?" I was beginning to get a little scared because I didn't know what he was going to do. "Amaya..." Oko gently grasped my hands, making me look at him.
"How did you stir these feelings inside me? Did you... cast a spell on me?" He asked, looking directly into my eyes. "Feelings? Spell? What are you talking about?" I asked. "Every time I look at you... or even go near you... my heart races... Why is that?" Oko asked while pulling me closer to him.
I blushed slightly. "Uh... Not sure." I answered. I looked at skull as the Ritual Knife was embedded in its head. Wait, is it really possible to summon a demon? If so, then how does it work? I want to know. "Hey, Oko. Do you mind if a borrow one of your books?" I asked.
"I could... but you'd have to be a member of the Occult Club in order to do that... I'm sorry..." He answered. Damn. Then, I guess I have no choice but to join the club. "Okay, then." I said. At the same time I said that, the Occult Club members started coming into the room.
"Oka." I said as I approached her. "Um... hi..." She greeted, shyly. "Could I join the Occult Club?" I requested. "Y-You actually... want to join?" She asked. "Yes." I said, giving a nod. "This is wonderful news. Perhaps the world isn't such a dark and lonely place, after all. Um... Anyway... You're an official member now..." Oka said.
"Thank you so much." I said, emotionlessly. She handed me a collar that meant I was a member of the Occult Club. "I have to go to class right now. Thanks again for letting me join." I said, bowing my head to her. I left the Occult Club and headed to class.
(After School)
I told Yan-kun and Ayano that I would be home a little bit late since I joined the Occult Club. "Why did you agree to join the club?" Ayano asked. "Because I want to see if it's true you can get demon powers." I said.
"That stuff is a bunch of crap. It's not real." Yan-kun said. "We'll see about that. If all of it really is bogus, I'll quit the club." I said. We parted ways as I headed to the Occult Club. Once I got there, I approached Oka to ask her about the activities we'll be doing.
"We're going to attempt to summon a demon again. Will you help us?" She asked. "Sure." I agreed. "Excellent... I hope it works this time..." Oka said. She handed me a dark cloak and I put it on. We huddled around the diagram that was in the room and we got on our knees in attempt to summon a demon.
But we don't succeed. "I guess we failed again." Oka said, disappointed. I took off my hood and looked at the skull. I feel like you have to do something in order for this to work. Then again, there's something odd about that skull.
After the Occult members left, I grabbed the Ritual Knife and headed to the roof. I spotted Mai Waifu all by herself. "Perfect." I mumbled before going over to her. Once I was behind her, I grabbed her mouth from behind and stabbed her in the head with the Ritual Knife.
She fell to the ground and I picked up her body. I ran over to the railing with the trashcan just below us. After I dumped Mai's body over the railing, she fell into the dumpster. "Sorry. Nothing personal." I said before going back to the Occult Club.
Once I got there, I embedded the Ritual Knife into the skull and purple smoke surrounded me. I found myself no longer in the Occult Club. "Where am I?" I turned around and I spotted three being in the room. They looked like those demons that I saw in the book.
There was the Flame Demon, the Pain Demon, and the Lust Demon. I went over to the Flame Demon first and tried talking to him. "A mortal? Here? How curious. Do you wish to borrow my power?" He asked. "I do." I answered, emotionlessly.
"Ha, ha, ha... You are not worthy. Return when you have proven that you can wield my power." He said. Well, that sucks. I headed over to the Pain Demon to speak with him. I noticed he didn't have any arms, like they have been cut off.
"So, what's your story? How did you get like this?" I asked him.
"..Was innocent... No crime... Found guilty... Given punishment... Arms removed... Body contorted... Need justice... Need revenge... Descendants must feel... what I felt..." He spoke. "How do I do that? Tell me what to do." I said.
But it didn't say anything as it stared off into space. Realizing he wasn't going to say anymore, I went over to the last demon in the room; The Lust Demon.
"Ara, ara! You're a cute little thing. Do you want to play with me? Or... perhaps you want to become one of us? Fufufu... I'm afraid it's too soon for you, young one... Good things come to those who wait... Just be patient... I'll look forward to the day when we can play together..." She said.
So, it looks like I'm not worthy of using any of their powers. I'll have to find a way to do that. I looked behind me, spotting a glittering circle. "That must be the way out." I said. I went over to it and stepped inside the circle.
When I did, a purple smoke once again surrounded my body and I was back in the Occult Club. "I've gotta tell Ayano and Yan-kun about this." I said. But first, I need to clean up. I ran to the locker room and cleaned myself, then changed into my gym uniform.
I ran to the incinerator and dumped my bloody clothes before burning them. Once that was done, I went home. "I'm home." I called as I took off my shoes. "So, how was the Occult Club? Was it full of trash?" Yan-kun said.
"Actually, quite the opposite." I said. "What do you mean?" Ayano asked. "There's something I need to tell you." I said. I explained my story from beginning to end, telling them about how I met demons and that I killed Mai Waifu.
"You killed Mai? Impressive. I didn't know you had the guts to do it." Yan-kun said. "She's always had the guts, Yan-kun." Ayano stated. "It was the only way I could enter the Demon Realm." I explained. "Hmm... Everything Amaya's said seems pretty interesting." Ayano said.
"Hold up, you're honestly not thinking about getting demon powers, are you?" Yan-kun said to her. "But that's just the thing. I don't know how to get their powers. They said, I had to prove myself worthy somehow... Well, all of them except the Pain Demon." I said.
"What did he say?" They said at the same time. "Wait, now you're interested, too, Yan-kun? You just said it was bogus." I stated. "It was until you mentioned getting demon powers." He said. "Maybe there's a way." Ayano said, making me and my brother look at her. "I have a plan." She said. "What kind of plan?" I asked.
