3rd Person's POV
After Amaya fell asleep, the TV continued to play as she forgot to turn it off. Fifteen minutes passed and Nemesis-kun entered Amaya's house through her bedroom window. Without making a sound, he walked over to TV and turned it off for her.
Nemesis-kun turned to the sleeping Amaya as she slept peacefully. He stared at her before walked over to her, gently stroking her cheek. He noticed bandages wrapped around her wrists, arms, and legs, which told him that she's been hurting herself.
"Depression leading to self harm... It's the only explanation for the bandages on her body." Nemesis-kun said, quietly. Feeling that he couldn't leave her side and fearing that Amaya might hurt herself again, Nemesis-kun climbed in the bed with Amaya, being sure not to wake her up.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him as her back was pressed against his chest. Nemesis-kun smiled as it felt nice to hold his childhood friend in his arms.
He and Amaya had quite a past that Amaya has not written in her diary. Long ago, after Amaya was released from the hospital, she was feeling 100% again and was always playing at the playground.
But little did she know that while she was playing at the playground, Nemesis-kun was stalking her. Every day, he would watch her walk home and go to the playground.
Then one day, when Amaya was being picked on by the neighborhood kids, Nemesis-kun stepped up and protected her, threatening to kill them if they ever bullied her. Nemesis-kun and Amaya bounded quickly as they were always talking and playing with each other.
Amaya never asked for Nemesis-kun's real name because it never crossed her mind. During the times they spent together, Amaya began to feel some type of emotion towards Nemesis-kun. She didn't know how to explain it, but she enjoyed that feeling and wanted to keep feeling that way.
Amaya never told her mother or her siblings about Nemesis-kun because he asked her not to tell anyone about their arrangement.
But on day, Nemesis-kun moved away and Amaya never saw him again. Slowly, she began to feel empty inside as the way she felt towards Nemesis-kun began to fade away. As the days went by, she began to forget ever meeting Nemesis-kun.
Pretty soon, all her memories of Nemesis-kun disappeared as she helped her siblings to try and win Taro's heart. But Nemesis-kun never forgot about Amaya. He thought about her ever day, waiting for the day they could meet again.
Nemesis-kun moved back into the neighborhood a couple years later and started his role as a hunter, along with his sister. During the times he trained as a hunter, he began to forget about Amaya and focused more on his task. However, he didn't forget about the game they set up.
But seeing Amaya again in the Mission Mode timeline triggered his memories. Now all he wants to do is protect Amaya, just like how he did when they were kids.
The next day, Amaya slept in late and Nemesis-kun woke up early, leaving her so she wouldn't freak out when she woke up to find him in bed with her.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Budo and Taro visited Yan-kun and Ayano. The Aishi siblings were still in a coma and no one knew when they would wake up soon.
Taro dropped off flowers for Yan-kun while Budo stayed behind and waited for Ayano to awaken.
The hours ticked by fast as day quickly turned into night. Amaya ended up sleeping the whole day due to the anti-depressants the doctor prescribed her. But Budo was still in the hospital, sleeping by Ayano's side.
After twenty minutes went by, Ayano's fingers flexed themselves as she slowly began to regain consciousness. Her eyes opened as she looked around the room. When her eyes landed on Budo, her heart began to beat fast, not expecting him to be there by herself.
"Matsuda-kun..." She whispered. Suddenly, she began to understand her feelings. During the times she spent in the Martial Arts Club with Budo, the feeling got stronger. More stronger than her feelings towards Taro.
She understood her feelings completely. Ayano had grown strong feelings for Budo and didn't want that feeling to go away.
She slowly moved her hand and gently rested it on top of Budo's head as she found it sweet to wake up with Budo by her side. "Budo-senpai..."
That next morning, Yan-kun regained consciousness and looked over at his sister. "Hey, Sis," He smiled at her. "Where are we?" He asked. "In the hospital. The doctors said, we've been in a coma for a few days now." Ayano explained.
"Yeah, that's right. We were fighting the delinquents and we got knocked out." He said, recalling the event. His eyes landed on Budo as he was still asleep. Before Yan-kun could speak, Ayano said, "Don't even think about yelling at him, Yan-kun."
"And why shouldn't I?" He looked at his sister as she was blushing slightly while smiling at Budo. "Ah, I get it. You like him, don't you? What about Senpai?" He asked. Ayano shook her head. "You can have him." She said.
"What?! Really?!"
"Yes. I've found my special someone, and he's right here."
"Holy... crap. I never would've thought you'd pick Budo over Senpai."
"Well... Things change."
