Betty wandered the aisles of the almost empty convenient store, making her way towards the freezer.  She smiled at all the different kinds of ice cream, before grabbing the tub of chocolate peanut butter that she always bought. She tossed it among the bags of chips that had already accumulated, and she finally walked towards the till. She glanced at the twizzlers, gasping. She couldn't believe she had almost forgotten the most crucial part. Her hand hovered over the pull-apart cherry flavoured ones, but quickly switched to the strawberries and cream. She could already taste the flavour that would sit on (y/n)'s lips after she ate them. She tossed them into the basket. She approached the counter that Jughead currently occupied, beginning to place all her items onto the counter. Jughead smirked as he rang everything through, placing it into a plastic bag.

"Weekly date night?" He asked, already knowing the answer. Betty nodded, a smile growing on her face. Jughead grabbed the twizzlers last, taking a second look at them.

"You know (y/n) likes the cherry ones better, right?" He questioned. Betty's eyes widened.

"Uhm, yeah. I do, it's just-" She stopped herself, playing with her fingers and smoothing her clothes out of nervousness.

"I have my reasons." She finished, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. Jughead held a knowing smile, which only caused her blush to grow as he placed them into the bag. He totaled up the prices, before opening the till. Betty went to hand him some cash, but he waved her hand away.

"Don't worry about it. Tell (y/n) I say hi." He said.

"Thanks, Jug. Will do." Betty confirmed as she walked away, grabbing the bag. She made the short walk back to (y/n)'s house, her heart fluttering more with every step. She watched her parents car exit the driveway, just like she did every Friday. She took a deep breath before knocking on (y/n)'s door.

Her heart jumped when (y/n) opened the door, her beautiful face smiling. Betty was engulfed in a hug, to which she gladly returned.

"Hey, Betty." (y/n) greeted.

"Hi." Betty breathed. Two years together and this girl could still render her speechless. (y/n) stepped out of the doorframe, allowing her to walk inside. (y/n) snatched the bag from her hand, rummaging through it excitedly. She pulled out the strawberries and cream twizzlers, her face twisting into a frown.

"They were sold out of the ones you like." Betty explained, a little too quickly. (Y/n) smiled again, giggling. She started to walk closer to Betty, placing a gentle hand on her waist.

"Are you sure that's it, Elizabeth Cooper?" (Y/n) teased. Betty's face flushed for what felt like the millionth time that night. (y/n) ripped the package open, placing one into her mouth. Betty watched as she continued to bite into it, swirling it around with her tongue occasionally. She tossed the half that was left onto the counter, swallowing what she had in her mouth. She brought her lips up to Betty's, kissing her slowly. She pulled away after a few seconds.

"Or," (y/n) ran her hand past the hem of Betty's shirt. "Is it because my mouth tastes better after I've eaten those ones?"

Betty bit her lip, looking down.

"Maybe." She whispered. (y/n) pulled away, grabbing the pack of licorice.

"How about we take this upstairs?"
