Hi. Hope you guys enjoy your one update for the year, lol. Also, I do not think you should get back someone who cheated on you, but (Y/n) makes her own decisions. - Jas
It had been hard dodging calls all weekend.
Archie was asking why you weren't answering him, Jughead was making sure you were okay, Veronica was trying to apologize, and your other friends were wondering why you hadn't made any plans all weekend.
The task of avoiding Archie and Veronica got harder when your second period rolled around on Monday - the only period you had with both of them. You had convinced Kevin to switch seats with you so that you wouldn't have to talk to your boyfriend - as you still had no idea what to even say.
You were even more unsure after he came in late with Veronica at his side, tears in her eyes as she swiftly took her seat towards the back of the class. You watched as Archie noticed that Kevin was sitting in your usual spot, then his eyes gazed around the room until they met yours. Your jaw tightened as you stared blankly at him before returning your focus to the pop quiz in front of you.

You had never left a classroom faster than you did after that class, ignoring Archie saying your name as you raced past his desk. You knew you would have to talk to him at some point, but you could barely look at him.
Jughead had asked you to meet him for lunch, promising that neither Archie or Veronica would be around. The two of you decided to go to Pop's and to skip third period afterwards.
"He ended things with Ronnie, you know," Jughead muttered, grabbing a fry from the shared plate between the two of you. "That's why they were late to second period."
"Did Archie want you to tell me that?" You asked, folding your arms and leaning back against the booth. "Because even if he did call it off - he said that he called it off the last time they hooked up, so I really don't care about what he said."
Jughead nodded, checking his phone as it buzzed. He rolled his eyes at the text that he had received before responding quickly and placing it back on the table. You glanced down at it, watching as it buzzed immediately with a response.
"Is it him?" You asked, and Jughead picked it up.
"Yeah," He breathed, "He wants me to 'convince' you to talk to him."
You sighed, fishing your own phone out of your pocket and opening up the messages app. You clicked on Archie's contact, before typing in a short message.
"Stop getting your friends to do the work for you. I'll talk when I'm ready."
You hit send before shoving your phone back into your pocket, ignoring the text tone that signalled he had already answered.
"I'm sorry you got caught in the middle of this," You said, leaning onto the table. "I know we're both your friends and you shouldn't have to choose-"
"(Y/n), Archie cheated on you," He reasoned, "Choosing sides wasn't hard."
You nodded, picking up a fry and shoving it in your mouth. You and Jughead sat there and talked until the entire thing was empty, and you could confidently say that you were feeling better than you had been at the beginning of the day.
Jughead grabbed his coat off the back of the booth, pulling his wallet out of the pocket and placing some money on the table. You placed your hand over it, sliding it back towards him. You grabbed your wallet and stood up, smiling as you handed your own money over to the server that was at the counter.
