This is two days late, so I'm super sorry! I was at a concert last night (which was absolutely amazing and I cried) and then I went to a baseball game today (which was also amazing) and I just remembered that I was supposed to upload when I got home from the concert last night, and I was far too tired to edit and publish a story. Thanks! Veronica's will be up Monday and then I'll work on second parts!

If you were unhappy, you could've just left.

"C'mon girls, hit it!" Your girlfriend and captain, yelled at you and the team as they flung you into the air. They caught you with ease, before lifting you up again. You grabbed your leg, bringing it up into a split. The other girls tossed you down, placing you on the ground.

"Alright, practice is over," Cheryl announced, her face reading unamusement. You approached her, smiling a bit as you placed your hands on her hips.

"What'd we do wrong, princess?" You asked, kissing her cheek.

"Just wasn't full out, that's all," She answered, removing herself from your grip and walking towards the locker rooms.

"Cher, hey!" You called, jogging after her. "What's up?"

"Nothing," She muttered, grabbing her regular clothes from her locker.

"Cheryl, I know you. I know when something's wrong. Wanna go to Pop's and talk it out?" You offered, placing a hand on her arm. She flinched away like your hand had been on fire, before shaking her head.

"No, no thanks. I'm busy tonight," She said, walking off towards the showers.

"Tomorrow?" You asked.

"Uhm, sure," She agreed, picking up the pace and walking past the wall. You shook your head at her odd behaviour, normally Cheryl was all over you after cheer practice. She'd tease you about how good you looked in the short shorts, winking before kissing you. You held your hands up, muttering to yourself. You picked up your gym bag, lugging it onto your shoulder as you walked outside.

You were waiting for Veronica, as you lived in the same apartment building as her. The two of you would always walk home after saying goodbye to Betty, but they were taking an awfully long time today. You saw Cheryl walk out of the front doors, makeup back on and dressed in her typical skirt and tight top.

"Bye princess!" You called, and she turned around. You blew her a kiss, which made her smile a bit. She continued walking, but you felt accomplished that you had made her smile. After she had walked several feet ahead, to the point where you could almost no longer see her, a boy jumped out from behind a tree. Cheryl yelped, but began laughing as he wrapped his arms around her waist. You watched the two carefully, and he let her go after a few seconds. The two walked beside each other, a decently large amount of space between them You brushed it off, assuming it was a new friend she had made or something. Betty and Veronica finally joined you outside, and you began the walk home.

The next day at school, rumours were all you heard.

"I hear she rode him all night long."

"He's super hot, why wouldn't she?"

"Doesn't she have a girlfriend?"

Were just a few of the comments you heard as you walked throughout the halls, making you cringe. Your stomach felt uneasy as you searched high and low for Cheryl, but she was nowhere to be found. You continued on about your day, brushing off any comments you heard or feelings you felt.

Thornhill had never really freaked you out, Cheryl's parents had always been kind towards you and you only had good memories there. You felt confident approaching the door, twisting the knob and making your way up to Cheryl's room.

"Things just aren't really working for me anymore," You heard her say, and you paused. You pushed your ear up against the door, straining to hear the conversation.

"And you think being with me on the side could help with that?" A boy asked.

"I'm just craving so much more. Our sex life is bland and almost nonexistent, and she barely even tries to look good whenever we see each other anymore," Cheryl continued, causing you to bite your lip. You began to hear kissing noises, so you assumed it would be a good time to interrupt things.

"Hey Cheryl-" You opened the door, pausing when you saw her detach her lips from his neck. She crawled off of the boy, and he quickly straightened himself out.

"(y/n)!" Cheryl exclaimed. She turned to the boy, giving him a look. He stood up, rushing from the room. He shut the door behind him, leaving you alone with Cheryl.

"Look, I-" You cut her off.

"If you were so unhappy why didn't you just tell me?" You asked, trying to stop the feeling of defeat and disappointment that rose inside you.

"I, I don't know," She muttered, and you scoffed.

"You know what, it doesn't matter. You can have a more exciting sex life, and you can find someone who will wear a suit and tie whenever they come to see you. I'm so sorry that this relationship was so obviously a waste of your time. We're done, Cheryl!" You exclaimed, turning and leaving her house. You ran all the way back to your house, collapsing in your room and thinking about everything you did wrong.
