"Robin will you chill?" I told my 8 month year old Beagle. Robin wagged his tail and tried speeding off but the leash prevented him from doing so, yanking him back. I knelt down to see him on his back, his paws in the air and tongue sticking out.

"You're such a failure ." I laughed, helping him up. He put his paws on my knee and cocked his head to the side.

"Ready?" I asked him. He barked and we went on for our walk.

After about an hour, I could tell Robin was getting a bit hyper.

"How are you not tired?" I asked, sitting down on a bench. He barked once he saw other dogs playing and I sighed.

"Alright... But I'm watching you." I told him. He sat down and cocked his head at me as if he understood somehow. I undid his leash and he waited a few seconds before dashing off. I giggled when he met a dog twice his size and they chased one another. Robin came over and jumped onto me, signaling the other dog to do the same.

"Oof!" I cried when the other dog jumped on me, licking my face after.

"Tessa! Tessa! Get off!" a voice yelled. The dog got off of me and ran to its owner, a boy with brown locks and eyes. She wagged her tail and he told her to sit. Robin went after her and they continued on playing, the boy shaking hus head and smiling.

"I tell her to sit and she doesn't listen." he sighs, scratching his ear.

"Dogs do that " I smiled.

"I am so sorry for her by the way. I'm Tom. " he said offering his hand. I took it and smiled.

"I'm Y/N. And it's okay. I'm used to random dogs jumping on me." I joked. He smiled.

"How old?" he asked.

"Robin is 8 months. I got him from a friend."

"He's cute." he said.

"He's a little shit." I replied. He laughed and I turned to look at Robin running from Tessa. Then the tables turned and Tessa was running from Robin. I smiled.

"Wow... She's gorgeous." I heard Tom whisper.

"What?"

"Uh uh...nothing! I was uh marveling at that squirrel." he said pointing to a tree. I turned and saw nothing.

"Uhm... Okay." I said turning back towards him, to see him blushing down at the ground. I smiled.

We talked for a bit longer before he had to go.

"I think the dogs should have another play date." I suggested, putting the leash back onto Robin.

"For sure." Tom said, petting Tessa who came running over. I dug out my phone and he told me his number while I told him mine.

"See you soon." I said, kissing his cheek and waving bye. I turned back around and saw him smiling at Tessa then looking up to watch me leave. I turned my head forward and smiled.

"Remember when we first met?" Tom asked one day as we laid on my couch.

"A little." I said, my head resting on his lap. He played with my hair and looked down and smiled at me.

"Did you also know it was the day I fell in love with you?" he said. I turned to look at him, confused.

"Yeah," he said looking down at me." We were talking and the sun came out at the right moment, illuminating your face. I noticed you had a small scar on your left eyebrow and you eyes glistened. You looked... Stunning and took my breath away."

"Was that when you said a squirrel looked gorgeous?" I teased. He looked horrified but laughed.

"That was the worst thing I've ever said." he said.

"I don't know... You've said some stupid things before " I said.

"Oh shut up." he smiled, leaning down to kiss me.

"Nah uh." I said, turning away.

"Oh come on darling. Stop with the teasing." he whined. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"But it's fun." I said sitting up.

"For you." he said bringing me closer by my waist.

"You know you love it." I said cupping his face as our lips connected.
