The tallgrass stood about eleven yards from the marsh to the forest. Robin made a split decision and started to run the whole way, unfortunately the mud was slippery and she fell. Then she switched to crawling, that only attracted the compys. And right when she squeezed her eyes shut, another explosion followed. That made the compys go on high alert and they skittered out in the grass in an entire pack.
Robin didn't move from her belly. "Dear god..." she sputtered with the mud in her mouth.
The trees separated like a bulldozer coming through. A second pack of dinosaurs formed and came along eventually. This time Robin laid her head down and squeezed the tears away.
The group of Acrocanthosauruses stomped neatly over. Not one smashed their foot onto Robin. It was probable that the group was in a sheer panic and was running from the noise and explosion.
Robin wiped the mud from her face, making it to a wall of rocks. The women adjusted her hat so the brim faced backwards. She started to make her way easily up, putting her hands to work against stone. It was quick climb upwards. Until a busted man made her almost fall to her death below.
He jumped out of her with a booming voice, "HEY-YOU!". He already reached the peak and was hiding behind the stacked up boulders until she approached. He looked wild.
Robin jerked her body and shrieked, her hand letting loose and losing almost complete balance. It was only luck that she didn't let go and grabbed with both hands tightly and stared straight at the broad-shouldered man that nearly killed her on accident.
She snarled. "You...you almost killed me! Don't you realize how high I am?"
The man stirred with...concern. Then he in hastily adjusted his own hat. "Mighty sorry for that!" He sincerely apologized to Robin. Then he took his eagle eyes to the forest while assisting her up and over like a humane citizen. He shushed her to keep quiet. "Head my way, now. We got a sort of a..." he looked away again with a scarce glare. "situation."
Situation? What was this situation this man was talking about, Robin wanted to ask. But she kept all questions to her own mind.
The duo crept up the hillside, the man pardoned a barrage of crates that were anonymous. He turned to Robin half-way and whispered, "Wrong way. I remember it being the other direction." He idled to the left.
"Ok--what were those crates about? Your hiding something and I know it!" Robin was suspecting. The man stopped and mumbled a short cuss under his breath.
His strained eyes fell on her. "Just. Just follow me, then you can interrogate me all you want. Now if your really itching to know what the commotion was just beyond here...I am assuming a jet dropped some surprise on the island." said the young male survivor.
Robin looked at him like a complete freak of nature. "The only plane here was a Cessna172."
"A Cessna172 doesn't necessarily glide at 370mph."
"'K. Got it........"
He slowly nodded his head. " My name's Frederick--just letting you know."
"Fredrick. Nice name, I guess so. The name's Robin."
Ahead into the dense forest, a site of destruction was scattered. Smoldering into a mysterious cloud. It was more like advanced machinery that was dropped off on the island and it looked like a careless job done wrong. Studying closer with a bit of an experienced knowledge, Robin checked the nuts and various bolts littered. She waved her hand to clear the protruding smoke conditions in the air. Then found this "Fredrick" guy looking at the main machinery piece itself.
Robin approached timidly. "What in the world is..."
"NO!" exclaimed Fredrick as he faced her. He made a desperate move to hide the wreckage. "This is none of your concern, ma'am!"
Robin's face grew irritated with him. Her eyebrows hinted at her aggravation and the case was that she wasn't giving up on finding whatever Fredrick was concealing. "Yea--well--too bad, Indiana Jones." she farrowed. Putting her hands to her hips in a sassy manner, she made one heck of a mean face and stalked right past the guy herself. No fear of any such came across her expression.
Then, she was eyeing the fragments. Then turned around a shocked look.
