"You look friendly enough." I smirked gullibly to the blonde who stood before me.
"Sure, but I have a reputation for tough love, if you know what I mean. " she turned on her heel. She had a minor gullibility herself, but she sounded more monotone.
Through the long hall we went. I noticed that not only was the hall was approximately three meters in width, but also that the quiet atmosphere was far different from the elements of outside. I wondered if that was a good thing, considering how the island gave a big welcome to me.
The blonde's heels tapped on the bamboo flooring beneath us. She walked idly with long strides, as if she was so accustom to playing follow the leader. There was an every-day normal clipboard straddled in her arm, containing some anonymous paper work. Even with all her pristine hair and business apparel, what immediately came to my mind was the slash next to an innocent heart tattoo on her collarbone.
Now that was something else.
To keep my mind off the scar, I eventually said, "I never got your name."
Her neck straightened like I meant to offend her. "That is not to be known." That time, her voice was heavy with ominous.
I glimpse at Fredrick from behind me. "O-kay?" I was barely inaudible.
Before he could scoff, she stopped altogether and turned to give me a death stare. "What was that, again?"
I'm shocked, and slightly threatened. "Look, I'm sorry!"
But my apology wasn't all too convincing. Her sky-blue eyes were maniacal, with a sense of being artificial. They belonged to a ghost stalking in the moonlight. But here they were, judging every look of my features. Because her eyes were so intense, my heart skipped a beat from the sheer terror of being lasered.
"Very well." she nodded.

I found myself bumping right into the strange women. Just ahead was a pair of swinging doors. I couldn't manage to think up of an apology for my mishap-all that came out was stuttering.
"We're...here." she put her weight on the door, almost regarding my mishap.
Still, no reply came from me. My instincts warned me to keep my pretty mouth shut and let this blonde lead the way.
She shoved the door open, revealing a near neighborhood. I slowly thread on the bamboo platform, taking in every detail of the environment.
I looked again, and studied an orderly-stacked and wrapped collection of something before me.
"Here, we have some of your living essentials of sorts. You'll have your clothes, hygiene, batteries, and last but not least your walky-talky. Your first aid kit, water, and tools will be in your bungalow as we are very resourceful." she told me.

There was a swift movement in the forest to the south of Sorna. A hyper predator stalked from behind it's prey, an immature parasaurolphus seeking the nurturing of his mother and moaning with pain. Drawing his closest, the raptor looked again to see a blotchy, red infection up and down his leg. Such a perfect weakness.
Like a lightbulb in darkness, a signal pulled him from his hunger and glinted in his eyes dangerously. His head lifted to beyond the forest. They were calling him from the nest.
Quick as a thief, he shot down the hill. No stir of the forest except his feet would bring his attention to what was reality. All that mattered was his soon-to-be newborns. It was there, in the grasslands, where he knew he'd find them. Never did the apex predator want to leave his eggs alone by themselves.
His feet slowed to a territorial walk. Remembering every detail of the area, he guided himself to a distinguished patch of greenery in a ditch. Before coming over, he stared longer for any disturbances around the batch. When it was clear there was non, he made a jump for the ditch below.
