I glanced upwards to see a human face staring back at me, arm extended. First I grew questionable and somewhat frustrated. How many people secretly remained on Sorna? And with that, what's the big missionary?
"Fredrick! Sounded like you up there!" I growled under my breath.
He put one finger to his lips. "You might wanna pipe down on me...your not in the best situation."
My stare grew despicably, but I admit to not doing much.
"You wanna stand in here and face the consequences, suit yourself. I know you might not be the happiest with me and all that, but things have really turned around. Now grab on, for pete's sake!"
Seems like he wasn't kidding. My hand went on his and while I looked like the devil to him, there was an ounce of gratefulness in me.
"We're gonna have some conversation, now, aren't we?" spoke Fredrick as I ventured on the roof with him.
The figures on my face had no sign of impression whatsoever. And further, I could tell that this "Fredrick" was a tad more lively, and that time I really retorted with some sass.
"Don't think I'm sickened you by, this time. Never leave my side again, you hear?!" my index finger went up.
"Alrighty-don't get so fired up here." he portrayed to be innocent. "A feisty one like you might attract the whole island if that tone doesn't relax here and now."
A sigh escaped me. A deep, sunken one at that. Without a rhetorical word to prince charming as he was, I lowered myself at the roof and felt the energy drain. All of this had me powerless against mother nature and what they call God's creations. Then it hit me like wood. First of all, just because us people make ourselves out to be God, we never actually reach that level. That was what it truly came to in all of this. But why was Ackerman so malicious on his dinosaurs?
" You don't look so good. You care to listen to what I have to say?"
I approached insincere. "Let's go somewhere that's not ravished by meat-eating lizards, how about we?"
"Agreed."
