Chapter Thirteen: Battle Has Begun

Later that night

Chris

After Karrueche bitched and whined about getting her ass beat for a few hours, she finally fell asleep and I got to have some peace and quiet. I knew having Kae and Robyn in the same house together would be crazy but I didn’t think they would fight. Argue yes but throw punches no. When Karrueche was fast asleep I got up and went to Robyn’s room to see what she was doing. I cracked the door open a little and I saw her laying on the bed watching t.v. I walked in and she sat up and asked “What are you doing in here?”

"I got bored so I decided to be nosey and see what you were doing."

"Shouldn’t you be playing nurse with Rice Cake?"

"She’s fine and asleep. What are you in here doing?"

"Watching movies."

"Want some company?"

"Sure." Robyn moved over and made room for me to lay next to her.

"How was your day?"

"How do you think it was?"

"Besides what happened with Kae, how was your day?"

"It was pretty good. I went looking for apartments with Mel. I found a really nice one."

"Really?"

"Yep. I should be moving in sometime next week."

"Oh..that’s good." I wasn’t ready for her to leave. She just got here. I was hoping she would be here longer than just a week.

"What’s wrong?"

"Nothing. I’m happy for you."

"Yeah right. I see right through your bullshit Chris. I’m not Rice Cake."

"Maybe..I’m not ready for you to go." I mumbled.

"What?"

"I said I’m not ready for you to leave."

"Aww is someone gonna miss me?"

"Karrueche." Robyn slapped my arm. "Okay, I’m gonna miss you."

"You know you can come see me whenever you want when I’m in town."

"Not with Karrueche around. She thinks that since she’s having my baby she can dictate everything I do." I noticed Robyn tense up. "What?"

"Don’t get mad."

"I won’t. Tell me what’s on your mind."

"I don’t think Karrueche is really pregnant."

"Why?"

"There is no evidence."

"She’s not pregnant enough to have a belly."

"Yeah but she doesn’t even know how far along she is or have a picture of the sonogram. Doesn’t that make you just a little bit suspicious." I thought for a minute and I realized she was right. Karrueche told me she was pregnant and I didn’t even question her.

"I never thought about that."

"And do you really think she would try to fuck with me when she’s carrying your child. I know if I was pregnant I wouldn’t put myself in that kind of danger." I couldn’t help but laugh. Robyn is so crazy. "I’m serious Chris. You better do some investigating."

"You are crazy but you’re right. I’m gonna talk to her in the morning."

"Good. I’m going to sleep now so goodnight."
