Chapter Twenty-eight: Doctor's Visit

Two days later

We just got back from Hawaii and now me and Chris were on our way to my doctors appointment. After I told Melissa, Mijo, and Yusef about the baby, I called Jen and told her the news. She freaked out at first like I knew she would but then she started getting excited. She was still worried about how I was gonna manage my clothing line, work on my make up line, make new music/ music videos and attend the events I had planned on going to while being pregnant but knowing how hard working I am she figured I would figure out a way to make it work. Jen scheduled my doctors appointment while I was having fun in Hawaii so I can find out how far along I was and we can plan out what things I can and can't do before the baby comes. As we rode silently, my mind wondered to the media. I haven't really thought about how they would come into this situation. I know when they find out about the baby they are gonna have a field day and cause a whole bunch of unnecessary drama.

"Chris?"

"Yeah Robz?"

"What are we gonna do about the media?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well you know when they find out about the baby they'll start shit."

"I know. I've been thinking about that too. I can't say that they won't try to start drama but it would be nice if they didn't. But at the end of the day we know whats true and whats not."

"And what are we gonna do when the baby comes? The paparazzi is gonna be all over us."

"We're gonna have to get a restraining order or something because if one of the papz gets too close to my baby I'm gonna snap."

"I love what I do but in situations like this I just wish I had a normal life so I wouldn't have to deal with all the craziness."

"Me too. We'll worry about all the negative stuff when it happens. Let's just relax and go see how my little mini me is doing." Chris said as we parked in the clinic parking lot. We got out of the car and walked hand and hand into the clinic. We waited for a few minutes until a nurse brought me back into the examination room. I sat on the table and Chris sat on a chair in the corner of the room. The nurse washed her hands and put on her gloves before she took a sample of my blood and left. I decided to take a blood test iust to be positive I was pregnant.

"Are you nervous?" Chris asked.

"A little bit."

"We're not gonna have a repeat of last time are we?"

"No, I'm pretty sure Yusef got the right test."

"I'm ready to get a picture of the sonogram so I can send it to Ma."

"Oh shit, I forgot about telling our parents."

"You wanna call them now?"

"I'll call them after we leave." I said just as the nurse came back in.

"Well it seems that you are pregnant Ms. Fenty." The nurse said with smile.

"I told you Chris."

"Daddy was doubting you?"

"Well she told me she was pregnant before but she took the wrong test so I wasn't so sure." Chris joked.

"Let me guess, she took an ovulation test?" The nurse asked. Chris nodded and she laughed along with him.

"Stop laughing at me." I whined.

"It's okay. You're not the only one who's done that."

"Can we see the baby today?"
