Two weeks later

Chris

Today is the day of the baby shower and I am really excited. Most of our friends and family are flying to L.A to celebrate with Robyn and I and I can't wait to see them all. The only problem is that Robyn is taking forever to get herself together. If she doesn't hurry up we'll be having this baby shower in the delivery room. I'm just glad we decided to have the baby shower at home because if we had to go somewhere else we would be really late.

"Are you finished getting ready yet?" I asked when I walked into the bathroom where she was doing her hair.

"You see I'm still doing my hair Chris."

"How much longer are you gonna be?"

"I don't know. I still have to do the other half of my head and do my make up."

"Come on Robyn. The baby shower is suppose to start in a half hour."

"It's my baby shower. It's not gonna start unless I'm there. I got plenty of time."

"But people are already showing up. They're downstairs waiting for you now."

"Is Mijo here yet?"

"I don't think so. I didn't see him when I looked around a few minutes ago."

"Well call him and tell him to hurry up so you can leave me alone and let me get ready."

"You got thirty minutes Robz. If you don't have yourself together by then I'm gonna put on one of your wigs and dresses and pretend to be you."

"Yeah right."

"I'm serious. I've been working on my Bajan accent. I sound just like you."

"Oh really? Let me hear it."

"Where are mi damn pickles? I told you tree times to go to da damn store Christofa!"

"I don't sound like that!" I said, throwing my hair brush at him.

"You keep thinking that. I'm going downstairs."

"Good. Now I can have some peace." I left the room and went downstairs to find a crowd of people waiting in the backyard.

"Chris, where is Robyn? Y'all got me playing hostess to a bunch of people I don't even know." Robyn's mom said as she rushed over to me.

"She's still getting ready."

"What?!? The baby shower is starting soon."

"Well you know how she is. It always takes her a million years to get ready."

"Ugh, she should have gotten up earlier then. I swear that child of mine is something else." Mama said before the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." As she walked towards the door I went outside to see who was here already. The first people I saw were Mijo and Melissa and when he saw me, him and Melissa started walking in my direction.

"Wassup man?" Mijo asked, dapping me up.

"Nothing much. How long have you been here?"

"Only a few minutes."

"We walked around the whole yard looking for you and Robyn. Where is she?" ,Melissa asked.

"She isn't ready yet." Mel shook her head and said "I should've known. I'm gonna go help her."

"Good luck. She's moving slow as hell today."

"Don't worry. I can handle her." Mel said before she went into the house.
