*after the dinner*Anya carried Raven into their house, the girl couldn't stand on her own two feet. This reminds Anya to never let Raven drink tequila ever again. Once she got her dressed into her pajamas Anya carefully put her drunk wife to bed. "You are so beautiful" Raven smiled running her hand down Anya's face. "Yeah yeah" Anya retorted covering her up. "Shh shh don't tell my wife" Raven pressed her index finger against Anya's lips. "Oh hush and go to sleep" Anya kissed her head and took her leave. It was getting late, Anya thought it was best for her to retire to bed also. She went on to the kitchen scolding herself for taking off her shoes on the cold marble floor. Anya grabbed a small tub of ice cream from her freezer and grabbed a seat. There was a noise coming from her deck out back. Anya grabbed her gun that was taped under her cabinet. She cautiously went to open her sliding door that led out back. Anya aimed the gun to every bush in her yard. "Whoever you are, I have a gun! So show yourself now" Anya stood in the middle of yard holding her gun up. A person slowly stepped out from behind the patio table with their hands up. Anya dropped her gun and slowly fell to her knees. She continued to shake her head not believing it, refusing to believe that her sister was still alive after all this time. Lexa slowly walked towards her squatting down to lay a hand on her back. "It's me...it's me" Anya looked up and wrapped her arms around her little sister holding on for dear life. Lexa gave the same amount of strength back.
.....
"Okay I think I put all the pieces together now" Titus said with a little confusion. Lexa has gone over and over with Titus how she was still alive but she didn't know when he had become so ignorant. "They kept you alive to give them information about America's war strategies in which you gave them false information about. In exchange for all this information they'd let you go." Lexa nodded thanking the gods that Titus finally understood it. "But?" Titus said. Anya sighed "Maybe we should let Lexa get some sleep Tit Tit" Lexa snickered, Titus death glared Anya and stood. "I'll be back by tomorrow, walk me out Anya" she nodded and walked to the front door with Titus "Hey can you two not tell anyone else that I'm back yet" Lexa begged. "Not even-" Anya started "Clarke?" Titus finished.
Lexa nodded and didn't say another word. Anya and Titus were baffled by this but they let it go and continued to walk outside to Titus car. "Something's different about her" Anya blurted out. "And her story didn't add up, if they were done getting information from her, why did it take them 4 years to release her and those people are savages shouldn't she be dead by now" Titus saw that Anya thought she'd get her sister back and everything would go back to the way it was, but that was obviously not the case. "She's been through a lot" Titus simply said "Just keep an eye on her kid" Titus hugged her and bid his goodbyes.
Anya returned back to her living room watching and observing Lexa from a far. "There's some fresh pillows in the closet" Anya spoke. Lexa turned with her hands clasped around her back. "You can sleep in the guest bedroom down here. If you need anything just yell" Anya headed for the stairs.
"Wait" Lexa looked at Anya "I'm sorry for the letters I sent to you for years and just randomly popping up at your house" Lexa looked down "I just didn't think about how all of this would affect you and Raven and Titus and even-" Lexa took a breath "Clarke" she whispered. "How is she doing is she okay?"
"Look it's late and I have to be up super early so I should get some rest and I advise you to do the same" Anya didn't want to hear any of this tonight. Her mind was still trying to process Lexa standing right in front of her. Lexa stared at her sister for a moment and nodded. "Also please try not to scare the living crap out my wife tomorrow morning with your presence she had a rough night so take it easy will ya" Lexa nodded again without a word and Anya went on upstairs.
Lexa grabbed a pillow from the closet and went on to the guess bedroom. She had a lot on her mind. Not only has she been lying to the people she loves dearly she also can't look the love of her life in the eye and tell her what she has done. The more she thinks about it the more she realizes that the old Lexa did to die that night five years ago because the new Lexa was filled with lies and secrets that she could never tell that she won't ever tell because if she does the people she calls family would get hurt and she'd do anything in the world to prevent that from happening. Lexa laid down looking at the ceiling thinking how close Clarke is but yet so far. A single tear escaped from her eye thinking about the life Clarke and her could've had the life they deserved. The more Lexa thought about it the more tears formed in her eyes. She laughed and a sob escaped her lips. She wiped her eyes and whispered.
"All we have left is memories"
