Lexa had kept her word and brought her whole team drinks. They were out at some open mic bar just a little ways from the work place. Her team seemed to be enjoying it especially Monty and Jasper who took it upon themselves to sing Bennie and The Jets on stage. Lexa was genuinely having fun it wasn't like her to just let loose in front of people who weren't considered family but they were friends, good friends and she enjoyed their company. They all set at around a table on their third round of drinks and nachos telling embarrassing stories. Lexa couldn't get in on the jokes because she hadn't known them as long as they have known each other but it was nice to listen and laugh at the stories. Lexa was just about to grab another nacho when her phone started to ring. Before Lexa could reach for her phone Murphy snatches it off the table.
"Oh look its little miss important." Murphy smirked.
"Give me back my phone you dimwit" Lexa snatched her phone back.
"Is that Clarke?" Harper whispered. Murphy nodded.
"Yes honey?" Lexa answered the phone.
"Oooo someones in trouble" Wells said loud enough for the whole bar to hear. Everyone snickered around the table and it didn't help that the alcohol had kicked in.
Lexa swatted her hand towards them and stood from the table walking towards the bathroom for some privacy.
"What's up?" Lexa asked her wife causally.
"Who was that? Are you with someone?" Clarke asked.
"Just some of my coworkers, we went out for drinks at the nearby karaoke bar" Lexa leaned against a wall.
"Hm I see, well I'm sorry that I have to cut your fun time short but I need you back home." It worried Lexa for a second in how needy Clarke's voice was but any trace of it was gone before it began.
"Is everything okay?" Lexa stood up right confused as to why her wife needs her so urgently all of a sudden.
"I'll be by to pick you up soon." Before Lexa could say another word Clarke had already hung up the phone.
Lexa walked out of the bathroom going back to the table where all her friends sat. Yes she could call them friends because they were there for her and she would be there for them.
"Did you get detention?" Jasper jokes and was immediately silent when Monty hit him in the back of the head.
"I have to go guys something important came up." Lexa stated not to happy about her night out ending.
"We know what 'important' is code for" Murphy smirked. Everyone laughed around the table. Lexa gave them a death glare and they all went silent.
"Don't push it you dip shit" Lexa smirked at how dumbfounded Murphy looked and waved everyone a goodbye as she took her leave. Lexa was a good distance away from the table before someone called her name.
"Hey Lexa wait up" Wells called running towards her. "I'll see it that you get home safely no driving for you. I'll call you a cab." Wells offered. Lexa shook her head. "No that's okay really, Clarke will be here shortly."
"Then I'll wait until she gets here." Wells insists. Lexa was going to argue but she knew Wells was one of those guys who put others first so Lexa let him. She didn't mind being around him she just couldn't say the same for her wife at the moment. Lexa and Wells were now outside waiting for Clarke. It was silent but not uncomfortable just neither had anything to say.
"So I saw Clarke earlier she came looking for you." Wells mentioned.
Even though Lexa knew of him and Clarke's greeting she still pretended she had no clue. "Oh really?" Lexa asked.
