It was six in the evening when Lexa pulled up to a twenty story apartment complex. Octavia had also written down Wells apartment level and door number. Lexa got out of the car and walked inside of the building making her way into the elevator pressing the button. Lexa didn't know how she was going to approach Wells she just really needed some answers about Thelonious and what better way to get to know who he is then from his own son. Lexa was becoming good friends with Wells over the month they've worked together he was a decent guy and you don't find too many of those around here but somehow Lexa knew the perfect guy was a little too perfect to be true.

The elevator doors open and Lexa steps out walking down the long hall to find his apartment door once she did she stood in front of the door took a deep breath and knocked. Lexa stood their for what felt like forever before the door opened and it wasn't Wells who she expected to open the door but instead Harper who gave a warm smile.

"Hey" harper greeted. "We weren't expecting you" Harper had a glass of wine in her hand and loud chatter in the background.

"Yeah I was hoping to talk to Wells. I'm sorry am I interrupting you? I can come back tomorrow" Lexa was ready to turn around before a hand grabbed her wrist.

"Don't be silly come inside" Harper smiled and stepped aside inviting Lexa in. "I'm sure Wells is around here somewhere" she laughed.

Lexa hesitated at first but decided to go inside anyway. Harper lead her down a short hallway that eventually led to the dining room where everyone was sitting laughing and eating dinner. There was Murphy Monty and their friend Jasper that Lexa met a few times there was also Nate and his boyfriend Sachin and some others Lexa didn't know very well but Lexa didn't expect to see her very own wife sitting at the end of the table talking to Wells.

"Guess who's here?" Harper announced and all heads turned and focused their attention on the two standing.

"Uhm hey everyone." Lexa waved. There were a few hi's and hello's before everyone focused their attention back to their food. Clarke stood as well as Wells and walked towards the two.

"I'll talk to you later don't leave without saying goodbye" Harper walked to the table after Lexa gave her a brief nod. Clarke and Wells approached Lexa.

"Honey, I didn't know you were coming?" Clarke said innocently. Lexa wanted to wipe that smug right off her face she knew Lexa would be here and she may have beaten her to Wells place but she still was going to have a chat with Wells whether her wife liked it or not.

"I could say the same for you." Lexa snarled. Lexa didn't know how Clarke got here without any bodyguards lurking every corner or maybe they were there and Lexa was just too focused on her mission to confront Wells. Either way she refused to play this silly game with her wife.

"I thought it was too long since I have sat down and chatted with Wells so I called him and he called some of the old gang and here we are having dinner." Clarke smirked.

"I would have invited you Lexa but Clarke here said you were busy?" Wells asked a little confused with the behavior of his two friends.

"Busy?" Clarke nudged her. "Ah Yes I had some things to catch up on speaking of it Wells may I speak with you in private?"

"But Lex you just got here. Come sit and eat." Clarke grabbed her hand and led her to the table leaving a dumbfounded Wells standing there.

Once the two got to the table and sat down Lexa yanked her hand away. "What are you doing here!?" Lexa whispered trying but failing to not make a scene. Monty and Jasper had already turned their heads towards the two.

"Can we talk about this later I just want to have a lovely meal with my friends." Clarke smiled well it was more of a smug in Lexa's mind.

Wells came back with a plate of food for Lexa. "I didn't know what you wanted so I just got a little of everything." Wells smiled sat the plate down in front of Lexa and took his seat.

"It's fine. Thank you, I won't be staying long I have some things to attend to." Wells nodded and everyone continued eating.

Conversations flowed around the room and everyone was laughing and getting to know each other well by 7pm everyone was in Wells living room sitting and having wine.

"So Clarke how have you and Lexa been?" Murphy asked and Harper shoved him. "What it's just a harmless question" he shrugged.

Clarke rolled her eyes. "Murphy still quite the ass I see." Everyone laughed. Murphy rolled his eyes and Clarke smirked "Well if you must know we're doing just fine." Clarke looked at Lexa who only to a sip of her wine and stood.

"It's been lovely but I really must go. I'll see you at work tomorrow" Lexa points to Monty, Wells and Harper who all nodded "And it was nice meeting the rest of you." They all smiled and bid their goodbyes. "Clarke walk me out?" She nodded and stood walking Lexa out of Wells apartment.

"Are you going to tell me the real reason why you were here?" Lexa asked with her hands inside her pockets.

"I know you Lexa I knew that you'd come here and try to tell Wells everything about his father and you'd also try to get any information out of him that you could" Lexa thought for a second knowing her wife was absolutely right about everything "But sometimes Lexa you have to stop and think before you do things. Wells is happy I don't want to ruin his life and tell him that his dad is a terrorist"

"Oh now we're thinking before we do things, you mean like you? When you just rushed off to Russia to hunt down Thelonious?" Lexa raised her eyebrow and Clarke sighed.

"I know I'm stubborn sometimes and probably crazy but I'm crazy about you I don't want you to have another night of endless nightmares I want the weight off your shoulders to be gone and I want me to stop looking in every direction in fear that he'll take you away from me again" Clarke was now leaning against the wall next to Wells apartment door. "You don't understand Lexa I cant lose you again I don't know what I'll do" Clarke slide her back down the wall burying her head in her hands trying to stifle a sob.

Lexa in one quick move swooped Clarke into her arms and held her. They both sat their on the ground in silence for a while before Lexa spoke.

"I'm not going anywhere. I won't let him not again." Clarke took one deep sniff of Lexa's shirt knowing her smell would calm her down. It always did it was the smell of home. Clarke pulled back from Lexa's embrace to look at her and with a solid nod Clarke knew Lexa meant it. "Do you want to go home?" Clarke wanted to say she was already home with her but she decided to just nod instead and they both stood. "Are you going to tell Wells that you're leaving?" Lexa asked.

"I'll just send him a text" Clarke pulled out her phone and sent a quick text before shoving her phone back into her pocket. Lexa grabbed Clarke's hand and kissed it as they walked out of the apartment building together. The two got outside the building and Lexa let Clarkes hand go to fish out her keys.

"You're not riding with me?" Clarke asked.

"I drove here and I'm most certainly not going to leave my precious car out here on the streets of DC." Clarke laughed and took Lexa's keys from her hand and tossed them to her security guard.

"You're so dramatic sometimes." Lexa pouted and Clarke found it adorable. "Melvin will take your precious baby home safe and sound" Lexa rolled her eyes at her wife for making fun of her total car obsession. Lexa walked towards the presidential limousine she was almost inside the limo before a hand grabbed her by the arm.

"Actually instead of going home right away. How about we have ourselves a little fun?" Clarke smirked and Lexa kinda liked where this was going.
