Barry was sat on his bed, on a Saturday evening, after having just finished up with an essay that he had. He had grown very bored, simply lying on his bed staring at the ceiling, hoping that he would be able to think of something to do. However, the only thing which he could think of was Caitlin. On the previous day, she had seemed so distraught, and he was constantly worrying about her, about her current state. This was when he remembered that the previous day they had also finally exchanged phone numbers, so he quickly whipped out his phone and started to type a message.
"Hey, how are you?"
Barry then kept an eye on his phone, waiting and hoping for a reply relatively soon. This wait didn't last long at all as his phone buzzed in his hand.
"Hey, I'm good thanks, you?"
"I'm good as well. Is everything okay after yesterday?"
"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better. Thank you for being there for me the whole time."
"It's no problem, also I was wondering whether you would perhaps like to meet up tomorrow?"
Barry felt somewhat nervous asking this question, despite meaning it in a purely platonic way, he still felt somewhat scared about her potential take on it.
This time Caitlin took slightly longer to reply, however not too long, maybe around a minute or so.
"Yeah, sure. Where are we meeting?"
"There is a forest located on the edge of the city, fairly near the university, does that sound good?"
"Yeah, okay, see you there."

Caitlin was sat in her living room, phone clutched in her hand, a smile on her face. Despite knowing that Barry most likely meant this in a purely platonic sense, it still made her really happy, butterflies fluttering in her stomach. This was a feeling that she hadn't really had before but for some reason, Barry asking her to meet up with him made her unusually happy. She just received a message from him to meet him at 11 AM, so she decided to prepare everything now, so she could get there on time without appearing too tired. She had always seen herself as not very attractive and wanted to try her best to make herself look good without appearing too clingy, so she got out a fairly simple red dress, laying it on the back of a chair, and as she was midway through choosing the rest of her clothes she decided that she shouldn't be panicking so much, and simply stopped and changed into her PJ's, before getting into bed to get a good nights sleep.
--------------------------------------
It was the next morning, Barry having woken up early for the meet-up with Caitlin. He was simply wearing some jeans and a shirt, not wanted to come across too serious. It was around 10:30 AM, Barry gathering his things and leaving the house, taking the long walk towards the forest. However, it didn't take him as long as he originally predicted, arriving at the entrance. As he walked in, he saw Caitlin sat down on a bench, wearing a beautiful red dress, and as she looked over at him she smiled, walking on over to him. Barry remained still, admiring her beauty as she walked on over to him, a smile on her face.
"Hey!" Caitlin said, clearly sounding excited.
"Hey, you look..."
"Oh, is it too much? I can..."
"No, you look, you look great," Barry said, the smile continuing to grow on his face, looking Caitlin in the eyes. They remained in their gaze for a few seconds, before they started to walk into the forest. There was a visible blush on Caitlin's face, which she tried to hide with her hair before the pair started to walk into the forest.
"How are you today?" Barry asked, looking over at Caitlin.
"I'm really good, you?"
"I'm really good as well."
The duo found a fallen log, which they sat on, both of them subconsciously shuffling up to one another.
"Barry, I just wanted to thank you again for all the help you gave me on Friday, you really cheered me up and made my day better, so thank you."
"It's no problem, I'm always here for you Cait. Wait, I mean Caitlin, sorry, that just sort of slipped out, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, you can call me that," Caitlin said, the everlasting smile on her face still remaining strong.
The pair stayed in silence for a moment, looking into one another's eyes as they had many times before, Barry couldn't help but notice Caitlin's beauty.
"You really do look great," Barry said, feeling slightly nervous saying it but feeling somewhat hopeful that it wouldn't end badly.
"Thank you, but it's nothing amazing, just something simple, you look great as well," she said with another smile.
"Thank you," the pair now found themselves practically touching they were sitting so close, Caitlin now somewhat resting on Barry. They spent the next few minutes having conversations of all sorts, laughing and just genuinely enjoying themselves. Caitlin had now proceeded to lay her head upon Barry's shoulder.
"You know, like I have said to you many times, you shouldn't doubt yourself. I wouldn't lie to you. You are way better than you think, in every way, and you said that you don't look good, well I beg to differ," Barry said, causing Caitlin to blush slightly and smile, before replying with:
"I don't exactly have many positives though, that is hard to argue with,"
"Not necessarily. Like I said, just because people say bad things about you doesn't mean that they are true. I personally think that you are a great person, and you have so many good traits about you, so you really shouldn't see yourself in a bad light. Admittedly I do the same, but I can say for sure that what you say about yourself isn't true."
"Thank you, that really means a lot," Caitlin said, her cheeks illuminating a pale red colour. They turned to face each other, landing in a gaze which lasted a couple of seconds.
"Do you really think that about me?" Caitlin asked, looking down at the floor with a small cute smile resting upon her face.
"Yes, I do."
Caitlin's face lit up, her smile getting bigger, making Barry smile back. The pair continued to face one another, both happier than they had probably been before in their lives.
"Caitlin, I want to thank you once again, ever since I met you I have been so much happier, and I really can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me."
"You too, if I had never met you I really don't know what I would be doing right now. You have really changed my life, Barry."
"I guess it is lucky that we found each other, huh."
The pair fell into yet another gaze, something they did so often recently at this point. They had edged closer over the past few minutes, practically hugging one another as they were so close together. At this point Caitlin simply gave in and threw her arms around him, embracing the pair in a hug lasting a few minutes. As they pulled their heads away, they remained entangled in the other's arms, enjoying the feeling quite a bit, their heads leaning against one another via the forehead, the very small remaining space between them was quickly decreasing.
"Yeah, we found each other," Caitlin replied, and before the two knew it, their lips crashed together, only for a few seconds but they crashed together none-the-less. Butterflies erupted in both of their stomachs, an extreme blush appearing on Caitlin's face. As the pair looked back into each other's eyes, they broke into a small nervous laughter, again gazing into each other's eyes.
