Barry slowly flickered his eyes open, his room coming into view as his vision cleared up. He looked over at his clock to realise that he had slept in, the clock reading 11:30 AM. Caitlin was nowhere to be seen, she had most likely already woken up and was somewhere in the house. Both his throat and chest were aching, and he was feeling extremely fatigued. He slowly shifted himself out of bed, quickly throwing some clothes on and dragging himself wearily downstairs, walking into the living room to see Caitlin sat down reading a book.

"Hey, good morning sleepy," Caitlin joked with a smile.

"Good morning," Barry said somewhat quietly, moving to sit down next to her.

"Are you okay? You don't sound well," she asked curiously, sounding worried.

"I'm not sure, I don't feel great," he replied, leaning his head back on the sofa, before continuing.

"I don't think the rain yesterday did me so well," he said, sound very clearly unwell.

"Barry, I'm so sorry! I told you that you didn't need to give me your..."

"No, it's fine, it would have been you if it wasn't me so that all went well," he said, cutting her off.

"Even when you aren't well you still manage to be sweet," she smiled, blushing slightly.

"I will try my best to look after you," she then finished, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you so much, but you really don't need to, I'm really not worth the effort."

"Yes you are, don't say that because it's not true," she smiled, "I'll go and make you some breakfast," she replied with the smile continuing, looking Barry in the eyes.

A few minutes later she returned with a glass of hot chocolate and a bowl of cereal, coming over and sitting next to Barry, handing them to him before shuffling closer to him.

"Thank you, the drink is really nice, really relaxing too," he smiled, momentarily placing his hand upon hers, as well as a temporary gaze into one another's eyes.

As he finished, the pair spent a few minutes sat next to one another, Caitlin resting her head on his shoulder after a few minutes.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, I don't want you getting ill as well," Barry said, despite loving the feeling of her doing this he didn't want to be the cause of Caitlin falling ill.

"I don't care, I don't think I could go a day without being close to you anyway," she smiled, shuffling closer, placing her hand on top of his as she buried her head into his neck.

The couple stayed like this for a few minutes, both unable to keep from smiling, Caitlin comforting Barry simply by being there, resting against him, their arms entangled together and heads resting upon the others, now sat as close as they could be together.

After the few minutes was over, the pair slowly pulled away from one another.

"I should probably go and get properly dressed," Barry said, slowly pulling himself up and shuffling over towards the bathroom to take a shower.

As he finished, he threw on some comfortable clothes, however, he was feeling significantly worse now. He shuffled back into the living room, to find Caitlin waiting for him.

"Hey Cait, I think I might go back to bed, I'm really not feeling well at all, thank you for all the help," he smiled, looking her in her beautiful eyes.

"Okay, would you like me to come with you? I can try my best to comfort you if you want," she offered, walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I'd like that if that is okay with you, that would be great," he answered happily, his voice croaky but still managing to break a smile.

They walked over towards the bedroom, both of them slipping underneath the duvet, Barry throwing his head onto a pillow, Caitlin snuggling up next to him, her head on his shoulder, as usual, one of her hands on his chest and the other wrapped around the back of his head, landing on his shoulder the other side. She then proceeded to bury her face into his shoulder, as he found the energy to move his arm around her, pulling her in closer.

"Are you feeling any better?"

"Not really, but if it means anything I'm enjoying myself sat here with you," he smiled.

"Me too, this is really nice," she smiled back, further shuffling towards him, attempting to be as close as possible.

The continued to cuddle up, warmed by the blankets sprawled over the duvet, as well as by one another's body heat. Caitlin moved the hand that was resting on Barry's chest over to the other side of his body, embracing him in a sort of hug, as close as they could get to hugging whilst lying down.

They stayed like this for an hour or so, Barry eventually falling asleep from lack of energy. Caitlin stayed awake the entire time, still wrapped up around him, her head remaining buried in his shoulder.

She eventually slowly shifted herself from the bed, laying the blankets properly back over him, before leaning down and giving him a kiss on the cheek, before quietly walking out of the room, smiling to herself.

It was later on that day, Caitlin sat in the living room just like earlier that day. Paralleling the morning before, Barry slowly shuffled into the room, however, this time looking much brighter.

"Hey," he said, alerting Caitlin to his presence.

"Hey! How are you?" she replied excitedly, smiling.

"I actually feel great, thanks," he smiled, migrating over to the sofa and sitting next to her.

"Thank you for lying there with me, I really enjoyed that," he said.

"Me too, maybe slightly too much," Caitlin laughed, however only proceeding to do exactly what she had before, cuddling up next to him for around the fifth time that day, however this time with no intention of stopping.

The pair spent the rest of the evening sat together, watching movies whilst enjoying the company of the other, the feeling of them snuggled up together was one of the best feelings they could experience.
