Surprise

Barry flickered his eyes open to see Caitlin cuddled up beside him, her arms wrapped around him and head on his shoulder. She had been staying at his apartment for the past few days, it was now a Friday morning. It didn't take long before Caitlin woke up, taking a deep breath as she did so, looking up at Barry and smiling.

"Good morning sleepy," Barry teased, a smile appearing on his face. Caitlin simply laughed, before Barry spoke up again.

"I'll make some breakfast, we have to leave for school in an hour, so we should probably speed things up."

"Yeah, okay, I'll go and get changed," Caitlin replied, moving into Barry's bedroom to do so.

As she re-emerged into the living room, she was faced with breakfast ready served on the table, Barry already sat at the table eating his. 

"I made them the way you like, I hope they are okay," Barry said, before standing up himself and walking over, planting a kiss on Caitlin's forehead and going to get changed himself.

"I don't want to go, can't we just stay at home," Caitlin moaned as they left the apartment.

"I wish that was possible," Barry replied, as the pair started to walk down the seemingly endless flights of stairs, hand in hand whilst they were unseen by the public, and painfully letting go of each other as they entered university grounds, to prevent any unwanted attention or teasing from anyone in the vicinity. Both had a fairly dull day and would have to struggle through the day without one another's company before they could see each other again at the end of the day.

As the bell rang marking the end of the period, Barry walked out of his biology class and walked over to the place where he and Caitlin always met after school. It didn't take long for her to arrive as well, and as soon as they did they headed off back to Barry's apartment, a fresh smile on both of their faces. 

Reaching his apartment, as the pair entered they instantly moved over to the living room, where they both threw themselves down on the sofa, exhausted from a week at school, but now it was a Friday night and they could simply just relax, and do whatever they wanted. After a few minutes of lying around, the pair sat up from their cuddled up position and embraced in a hug, before their lips interlocked together for the first time today. After an incredibly long day, both of them had missed this feeling, butterflies erupting in their stomachs. The session became somewhat more intense, and after a minute or two Caitlin pulled away, an excited look on her face.

"Hey, before we get into anything like that, I have something for you,"

"Really? Cait, you didn't have to do anything..."

He was cut off by Caitlin taking hold of both of his hands, before saying:

"I may have booked us a table in pizza express, in half an hours time," she stated, a smile on her face.

"Oh wow, thank you so much! You really didn't have to you know."

"Yeah, I did. You have done so much for me so I need to at least start making it up to you."

They shared a quick smile before Caitlin told him to go and get changed whilst she did the same. A few minutes later Barry emerged from his bedroom wearing a tuxedo, Caitlin not taking much longer, coming out of the bathroom wearing a beautiful blue dress, it left him breathless as he admired her stunning beauty.

"You look... amazing," Barry said, causing her to blush, as they walked over to one another and shared a kiss, before leaving the apartment and heading downtown.

They arrived at the restaurant, being shown to their table and sitting down.

"Thank you so much for this Cait, it's really sweet of you," Barry said, taking hold of her hands.

"It's no problem at all," Caitlin replied, smiling back and staring into his eyes. The waitress came over to them, and they ordered, and surprisingly it didn't take particularly long to arrive.

Having finished their meal, the pair paid for the bill, followed by them linking hands and walking out of the restaurant, heading back towards Barry's apartment.

As they reached the apartment building, the pair had walked up the majority of the stairs, however, when they were nearing the top they filled the urge and broke into a kiss, arms wrapped around one another and slowly dragging themselves up the final flight of stairs, lips remaining interlocked. As they reached the top, Barry fumbled with his keys and unlocked the door, the pair stumbling into the house, remaining close to one another. They eventually pulled apart to remove their shoes, before breaking into a small nervous laughter, then re-entangling themselves in another kiss. It wasn't long until they escorted over to the bedroom, falling over onto the bed and remaining interlocked in their kiss.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Caitlin asked, smiling.

"As long as you do, then yeah," Barry replied, to the response of Caitlin nodding, and the pair returned to their make-out session, now sat back up, their hands wrapped around one another's backs and their lips re-joining, butterflies erupting in their stomachs and joy taking over their bodies and minds as they focused on the moment.

It wasn't long before Caitlin had scraped Barry's jacket off, the pair having now fallen onto their backs, Caitlin on top of him, still kissing and both of their hands exploring the backs of the other, gradually shedding layers of clothing, Caitlin unbuttoning and removing his shirt as he fiddled with the straps of her dress, slowly slipping one off of her shoulders, slowly removing it, and a few minutes later they had completely undressed and carelessly flung every piece of clothing across the room, moving themselves underneath the sheets and getting completely entangled with one another, no more words being said for the rest of the night as the happiness that they had made the night one to remember, one that was special.
