Kacey's POV"You know you were wrong for participating in that food fight, right?"
I held my head down in shame as I was scolded by my little brother.
This is unbearable. It's bad enough that I don't have a car, but to have my little sibling drive me home is embarrassing.
Unfortunately, I had to deal with it because he said he wouldn't tell our parents.
"I know, Trevor."
Like my mom, he knows how to give an agonizing lecture. I don't stop him because he's been an angel since the day he and Rocky were born. But that doesn't mean I like being verbally tortured.
He shook his head as his drove. "Ridiculous," he muttered. "I did not go through my entire school life creating an unbreakable reputation just to have it tarnished by my older sister."
"Jesus, Trevor. It was one little thing. It won't happen again."
He huffed through his nose. "I certainly hope not."
I would've driven home with my friends, but Spencer and Sara scheduled a date night. Jack ubered home and I chose the free option. It is not feeling free right now.
"But hey," he grabbed my hand as we pulled into our driveway. "I still love you."
"...love you too."
I honestly couldn't tell you where he got his sensitivity from. I love it most times, but sometimes it's just weird.
But that's my little brother.
When we got home and I did my routine of showering and changing, I grabbed my stuffed son, Cj, and crawled into bed.
As I got settled in, the photograph beside my bed caught my attention.
It's a photo of my parents when they first met in Italy.
