Kacey's POVI like big butts and I cannot lie, you-
I hit the dismiss button on my alarm clock.
Once again I am the only work that it works on.
Tiredly, I crawled out of bed and looked upon the group that I was to awaken.
I better not get punched this time.
"Dude," I lazily ripped the covers off of them all, holding my teddy bear son in my arms. "Wake up."
Jay's back cracked as he sat up with a groan, making me cringe. "What the fuck?"
Ignoring the wretched noise, I informed him that we had to get ready.
"Why?" he asked with genuine confusion.
Now that I think about it, I hardly see him at school. I'm guessing he skips a lot.
"Because attendance matters, Jay. Come on. You can borrow some of my clothes and change in the guest room."
He sighed, dreading the day already. "It's okay. I brought a backpack with some extra clothes."
It was my turn to be confused. "Why?"
He stood up, moving out of Sara's way so she could get to the bathroom. Jack just stared mindlessly into the air.
"I was originally going to sleep over at my bestie's house, but her mate was over."
Aww, then he thought of me!
"So I was your second choice?" I asked with a teary grin.
At least I was an option!
"Yeah! I love you, dude." He responded with the same amount of sappiness as he hugged my waist.
He then pulled away and held my stomach.
"Wow... Tyler better put a baby in here before I do."
"Shut up!" I exclaimed through laughter, making Jack jump out of his sleepy-induced trance.
It usually takes him a while to adjust to his surroundings after waking up.
"Guys... I think I've mastered falling asleep with my eyes open."
Or he's just been asleep all this time.
With a groan, he stood up. "I'm going to take a shit while Sara is showering," he announced before going to do exactly that.
"Thanks for the details, man!" Jay called after him before turning back to me. "Let me change into my school clothes before I don't want to go anymore."
"That's the spirit!" I supported as he exited my bedroom with his backpack.
I look over at Spencer to see that he's now the only one with his eyes still shut.
With a grunt, I roll him off of the bed and onto the floor.
His eyes immediately snap open.
"Wakey wakey, bitch boy."
Spencer groans and slowly stands. "Fine. I'm up. Where's your friend?"
"He's in the gu-"
Shit!
"Did you just send Jay to the guest room?"
"You mean where Susan is sleeping...? Maybe..."
"Get him out, sis!"
I rush to the guest room and find the door wide open. Taking a peak inside, I see the two making out on the bed.
Really?
Does she want all of my guy friends?
I clear my throat dramatically causing them to look at me.
"Yo Kacey! I found my mate!"
"Mates?? So I'm never going to get rid of her??"
"Look at it this way: maybe now that she's met her soulmate, she'll stop trying to get it on with Spencer!"
She's right...
"Congrats Jay! But can you not do your thing on our new sheets?"
Jay stands and helps Susan up as well causing her to let out a fake cutesy giggle.
I resist the urge to cringe and change the subject.
"Is your friend waiting for you? What's her name again?"
"Shanaya. She has her boyfriend to keep her company until I get there though."
"Wait. Shanaya? The quiet one or the scary one?"
He grinned lovingly. "Both. You'll know her when you see her, but try not to get too close. She's psychotic, but there's no actual medical or psychological term for her."
If she's the quiet one, then she never really struck me as crazy. The times I do see her she's really smiley and cheerful.
"I'll remember that."
I go back to my bedroom so I can finish getting ready. Once everything is done, I go downstairs to see the gang waiting for me.
Jack is the first one to see me as he gives me a slow sarcastic clap. "Wow! First one to wake up and last one to get ready."
I roll my eyes and interlock our hands.
"Let's just go."
