Kacey

"Kacey, you're awake!" I heard someone say as my eyes adjusted to the light.

I grimaced and closed my eyes from the brightness. "What happened?"

Spencer stepped closer with worry, feeling all over my face. "No one knows! You just passed out."

There's not any pain in my stomach and the bump is still here, the kicks and all.

A sudden worry floods over me as I remember the events that led up to this. "What about Sara, Tyler, and James? Are they-"

"They're fine! Shanaya healed you, but the doctor said you might still be a little wobbly for a while."

A lady with a white coat suddenly walks in, probably the pack doctor.

Spencer quickly rushed by her side with concern written all over his face. "How is the baby?"

The doctor gave him a warming smile, speaking in a low, comforting voice. "The babies are perfectly fine. Don't worry."

Spencer's eyes shut in relief, silently thanking the moon goddess.

But I heard what she said...

"Babies?"

"Didn't you know? You two are having twins!"

My jaw fell just as Spencer's entire body dropped to the floor.

The doctor gave him a look before turning to me. "These things happen all the time. I'm going to leave you all to your devices. Congratulations!" With that, she walked out of the room without another word.

Twins?

The moon goddess must've not been satisfied with me just being pregnant in high school so she gave me twins!

Jay shook his head in disappointment at the situation. "See? You guys were silly. He didn't wrap his little willy."

I'm too speechless to pay attention to anything.

Twins?

I can't stop repeating it in my head.

"This is a blessing, Kacey! We get to bring two pups in this world and smother them in all the love that we can!"

Kira, being a wolf, could only see the light in this situation. Although I agree with her, I have a much harder time celebrating when I know have two parents to tell.

Shanaya's squeals penetrated my ears. "Congrats guys! I wonder what we're having! I'm gonna go find James! Bye guys!" She gave me a quick peck on the cheek before running off to find her mate.

Meanwhile, Sara kneeled down and gave Spencer a few smacks in the face to wake him up.

With a groan, his eyes opened and he slowly stood. "I had this weird dream. Some lady in a white coat said we were having twins."

Just be excited, Kacey. Forget about your worries and calm down your mate.

I flashed a wide, dimpled smile as I gave him jazz hands. "Surprise! We're having twins!"

His eyes widened when the gravity of the situation hit him. "Oh. Oh! Oh..." His transition worried me.

I grunted, sitting up a little and motioning for him to come closer.

I grabbed ahold of his hand with the both of mine and gazed deep into his eyes, feeling the love increase with every second.

"I know this is way more than we can handle but we have plenty of help. I don't regret anything and knowing that I'm bringing these babies into the world with you is all I need to get by."

His face is relaxed at my words, my love washing over him with every syllable.

"I love you, Kacey," he said before giving me a light kiss on the lips and moving down to my stomach. "And don't think I forgot about you two!"

My heart swelled with happiness as he talked to our unborn children.

Suddenly Jack sighed from the corner of the room, making me realize he was still there with about five more of them. "I'm bored."

Nick swiftly wrapped his arms around Jack's body. "Come on. I'll take you to Dairy Queen," he offered, causing Jack to hurriedly rush out the door with Nick following behind with a chuckle.

Rocky made her way to my side. "Kacey do you want anything?"

"I'm kind of hungry."

"Oh! We'll make burgers!" she exclaimed as she pulled her mate and mine out of the room despite their protests.

Sara chuckled, patting my head. "I'll take you to your room. We can watch a movie until they're finished."

Jay immediately shot up with excitement. "Aye! Count me in!"

Suddenly Shanaya and James appeared in the room once Sara got me out of the bed.

"Kacey! We're twinning!"

I screamed with her in excitement as she wrapped her arms around my torso due to her short height.

"Yay!"

Shanaya hopped in one spot joyously before skipping out of the room.

James looked at her with concern, catching his breath. "If I can't keep up with her, how am I going to keep up with twins?"

With that, he jogged after his mate.

Once he was gone, I leaned my head back with a sigh. "God, we're so dead!"

So now I not only have to tell my parents I'm pregnant, but I have to tell them I'm pregnant with twins? Why must I live in fear? This is scarier than the rogue situation.

Jay shushed me with a beaming grin. "Happy thoughts only!"

That's what he said when the rogues attacked.

About half an hour later, the whole house was in my bedroom. I had my man by my side and my best friends scattered across the room furniture and floor. There's no other place I'd rather be.

Although I feel a bit of emptiness.
