Somehow, you managed to get through the agony of what you thought would be your honeymoon, but it turned out to be somewhat enjoyable. You knew that was all thanks to the two boys who decided to hang around for the rest of the week when the other bunch of Kai's friends flew back home.

It was almost like Kai wasn't there. Jongdae stuck mostly to his side, while Minseok was always at your side holding your hand and encouraging you to enjoy yourself.

You guys had explored, swam in the ocean, and zip-lined. Things you had never imagined doing with the three boys but you had made good memories and had a good time, regardless of if Kai was there.

Kai tried to talk to you and to worm his way back in, but you were firm in not allowing it. On the many adventures the four of you went on, Kai tried his best to make friends with you again - but it wasn't that simple. You ignored him or were blatantly rude to him. A few times, it upset you and Jongdae or Minseok would have to calm you down. You continued sleeping on the couch even though Kai urged you to sleep in the bed whereas he could take the couch, but you didn't want the handouts from him.

Unfortunately, as you packed your bags, you were informed by Minseok and Jongdae that you and Kai would be taking the flight back alone.

"Your tickets were booked before it was even decided we were coming, Y/N," Minseok assured. "I promise it will be fine."

You glared at Jongdae who shrugged and gave you a hopeless look, "It's just a nineteen-hour flight."

"Ha," you scoffed, "'just a nineteen-hour flight', you annoy me so much sometimes, Jongdae."

He gave you a smile, "I annoy you but you love me."

With a sigh, you nodded, "I do." Jongdae and you had been through a lot together and while you weren't crushing on him the way you were with Minseok, you still cared for him. Jongdae had been there alongside Minseok, stopping you from hurting yourself and holding you through your pain. In fact, sometimes Jongdae had to do the job alone which in those times the two of you were able to bond.

Looking into the two boys eyes, you couldn't forget all they had helped you through and all they had seen.

"I'll try to survive but you guys owe me a date once we get home and settled in,"

Jongdae winked and pointed a finger gun at you, "You got it."

"Anything for you of course," Minseok said with a smile as he helped you and Kai carry your bags out of the hotel.

"Do you need anything?" Kai asked when the plane had finally taken off.

You shook your head, looking out the window into the bright blue sky, "No."

"I know the first flight was hard on you-"

You looked at him, "I said no," you snapped.

He was right, the first flight was incredibly difficult for you as you were sick from the airplane motions much of the time and you couldn't slow your racing heart. You had a fear of flying, as many people did – but Kai didn't take your tears and heavy breathing lightly, no matter how many times you told him to back off. This time would be different, you told yourself. You survived the flight the first time and you would do it again.

It was long nineteen hours so your mind would be free to wander to keep you from worrying.

Kai adjusted next to you and flipped open a book. Your gaze flicked over to him and you snorted.
