You were certain your words were echoing in Kai's head as he left your suite and you couldn't help but laugh bitterly. You didn't want his kindness, not any more so it made you content when he stormed out like the monster he was.

For a while, you sat on the couch not moving and staring at the small chip in the glass that covered the coffee table in front of you. The glass from afar looked perfect but when close up, it was evident that it had some wear and tear. This was what Kai was like to you. From a distance, you could see the composure and confidence of a man who had never been burned, but up close when you looked at his face, you saw the years of evil that had ruined him.

Time passed by until your stomach started to protest the hours you had gone without eating. You groaned and decided to go down to the café in the hotel that would hopefully be open at seven at night.

To your delight, it was. You ordered a coffee and two bagels. While it wouldn't be much of a dinner, you still weren't sure how much food you would be able to stomach. You clutched the bag of bagels and the coffee as you exited the café but to your demise, you ran into the last person you wanted to see. Okay, okay. That was wrong. Kai was the last person you wanted to see. This was Minseok and even though you were annoyed with him, you couldn't help but have him at the top of your list of people you wanted to see.

It was your intention to ignore him the best you could although that was until he grabbed you by the wrist and all but dragged you to your hotel room. He was gentle though and your pulse quickened at the feeling of his long fingers around your wrist. You couldn't help but be like this around him, even when he was annoying you.

Once he reached your room, you were surprised to see he had a pass to the room and he quickly entered with you and shut the door. You raised your eyebrows at him as he pulled you onto the couch next to him.

"I know you're upset," he whispered. Him up close to you now, you could see the bags under his eyes. "I'm sorry, you know I don't like upsetting you."

You shrugged. "I shouldn't expect much. I forget who you are. Speaking of who you are, why aren't you with Kai and Jongdae?"

"The others there are enough to keep him occupied."

You groaned. "Great, so everyone is here." Kai had brought his army alongside him on your honeymoon. You should have expected as much.

Minseok had a small sad smile, "Yes. Now tell me what you mean who I am."

"You're Kai's friend."

He raised one of his thick eyebrows, "And?"

"I know exactly how Kai feels about me and how he has treated me. I shouldn't expect you to treat me any differently than Kai has."

He shook his head angrily. "When have I ever treated you bad?"

You bit your lip nervously. Well, never. Minseok had always been exceptionally good to you and it always made you wonder what you had done to deserve kindness from him when he had given it to you in the past before even knowing you.

"That's right. I have always been good to you," He put a hand gently on your thigh. "Listen, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you that we were coming. I didn't realize I would have the chance to see you and didn't want to disappoint you if I couldn't make it. I would never intentionally do something to upset you and you should know that." He sounded hurt and it made your heart ache. Your feelings were mostly conflicted when it came to Jongdae and Minseok, your two saviors but also two people who confused you. Especially since you haven't seen them in two years.

"I missed you," you blurted out before you could stop it. You cupped your hand over your mouth and through your hand, you added, "and Jongdae." Your heart knew better, you always missed Minseok more.
