Cry's pov
"C-Cry?"I spun around at the familiar voice and froze. Felix stood with a hald loosely covering his side as a red liquid ran down his jacket. He looked up at me weakly before his legs gave way and he fell.
I rushed to his side and quickly unzipped his jacket. Blood was quickly soaking his shirt and I knew if I didn't stop it he'd bleed to death. I quickly pressed my hands against the wound. Felix gasped and grabbed onto my wrists, trying to pull them away but his grip was too weak.
"Felix, I need to keep pressure on this or you'll bleed to death," I said desperately but he was probably in a state of shock.
"It... hurts," he managed to gasp out.
"I know Felix just, hold on. Scott probably heard the gunfire and is hopefully on his way over. Hang in there buddy," I said as I looked towards the wall closest to the gates. Two figures came into view and began running our way.
"What the fuck happened?" Scott asked when he saw the scene.
"They got the drop on us. I killed them but Felix got shot. He needs help," I said quickly. Russ' face seemed to pale a little and Scott became a little destressed.
"Okay, we need to get him back to Red. She'll be able to help him. But moving him might cause him pain," Scott said amd he came to Felix's other side.
"He's going to be in pain either way Scott," I shot." I'll carry him, you just make sure everything is clear and that we'll be able to do this quickly."
"Russ, run ahead and make sure Red has everything ready for when we arrive. Keeo an eye out for any more people on the way though," Scott said as I picked Felix up. He grabbed his side and groaned in oain.
"I know it hurts but we're getting you help. Just hold in there," I reasured him. Russ had already run off and Scott was scanning the area intensely.
"Go, I'm going to do another scan of the area to make sure there isn't anyone else around. Tell Russ to send out some others when he can," Scott said. I nodded and began hurring towards the entrace.
I didn't go too fast as to not hurt Felix but I went as fast as I could. Felix was still loosing a lot of blood and looked like he was about to pass out again. It hadn't even been half and hour since he woke uo from being unconscious last and he was about to pass out again. And it was all my fault.
"Oh my god. Whst the fuck happened?" Red asked as she came running up to us.
"These guys got the jump on us. Felix saw them before I did but I was too slow. I killed them both but Felix got hit. He needs stitches," I explained quickly.
"How could you let that happen? He was your responsiblitiy and you let gim get shot?" Ken yelled at me.
"They snuck up on us. I did not expect to be attacked by armed people," I growled back.
"You should have expected anything. You know what things are out there. How could you let Felix get shot and you go un touched?!" Ken yelled more.
"Felix pushed me out of the way. For all I know he was shot after the first bullet was fired. No can you back off," I yelled back.
"Cry?" A weak voice called out softly. I looked down to see Felix desperately trying to keep his eyes open.
"It's okay Fe just hang on. Red is going to fix you up. You're going to be okay," I said as I shoved past Ken and into the spare room Red was in. She had already gotten all the supplies she'd need to fix Felix and was setting everything up.
I gently lay Felix down onto the bed and held my hands over the wound again. He gasped how air and squeezed hus eyes shut. I hated seeing him in pain and this didn't help one bit. The fact that none of this would have happened if I hadn't asked him to walk with me also added to the guilt that ate at my insides.
"The bullet went straight through thankfully. This is going to hurt a lot Felix. You can hold onto Cry's hand if you need to but I have to clean the wound," Red said as she tore away the bloddies shirt. I held out on kf my hands for Felix to take and he did. His grip wasn't extremely tight so it didn't hurt when he squeezed it.
"You ready Felix?" Red asked but Felix didn't have time to answer before she pressed the alcohol soaked cloth against the gunshut. Felix's grip tightened and he let out a scream. Red, having quite a lot of experience with this, was done within seconds and quickly got a needle and tread.
"Now for the fun part," she said sarcatically. I watched as she pressed the needle into Felix's skin and another scream rang out. She repeated the process a few more times before I felt Felix's grip loosen and he stopped screaming. I looked at gim to see his eyes closed and his head weakly laying to the side. I grabbed his face with both hands and tried to shake him awake. If he fell unconscious now then he might not wake up.
"FELIX! FELIX STAY AWAKE! COME ON, JUST A LITTLE LONGER," I shouted desperstely. He shook his head and tried to weakly push Red away as she continued.
"NO... Stop... please... it hurts...," Felix said, his voice distant.
"I'm nearly done Cry, keep him awake just a little longer," Red informed.
"Come on Felix. We're nearly done. Then the pain with stop. Just hang on a little longer will you. Please, for me," I begged. I shifted his head so he was looking directly into my eyes. But his weren't open anymore. They didn't respond when I called his name. No response.
Pretty sure that counts as another cliffhanger... hehe
