Cry's pov
I crept towards the food complex with Felix trailing just behind me. I held my sniping rifle in my hand and scanned the area with it. Felix and I were on top of the building directly across the road. I looked through the scope of my gun and shot a few dead that staggered around our entrance way. I had a silencer on my gun so the shot wouldn’t attract any other dead.

When the area was clear I signalled Felix to follow and i slid down the side of the building, onto a balcony half way down. I ducked down and looked up as Felix slid down and followed my lead. I nodded to him and quickly hurried into the building. He closed the door behind us and we were plunged into darkness.

My eyes were quick to adjust and i was able to see a few dead staggering towards us. They must have seen us enter. Felix was still trying to adjust to the new light so I threw my gun into his hands and dropped my bag to the floor.

I quickly and quietly lunged forward and slashed at the two closest dead with the gadget on my arm. They fell to the ground with a thud and I quickly moved on to the next three that staggered my way. I cut ones head off, stabbed the other through the skull and the last through its throat.

I scanned the darkness to make sure no others had heard me before returning to Felix's side. His eyes adjusted to the dull light shining through the dirty windows and was able to see everything better now. He handed me back my gun and i put it in my bag. I took off my bow and swung my bag over my shoulder. I took out an arrow and knocked it.

Felix nodded, pulling out his cross bow, and we made our way to where the supplies should be, killing some more dead as we went along. We quickly found the supplies needed and filled the bags we both carried. When mine was full i put things in his. We would have enough for another month at least. Food, water, first aid, it was perfect.

I heard the gargling and shuffling of another dead and motioned for Felix to stay quiet. He nodded and i waited for the dead to stumble into sight. I gasped when i noticed it was freshly killed. Fresh blood trailing down its neck and bullet holes, dripping with blood showed through his shirt. He was recently killed.

I pointed it out to Felix and fear crossed his eyes, he quickly glanced around and was suddenly very on edge. I turned away and watched as the newly dead staggered out of sight just as a loud gunshot rang through the large building. Felix jumped but was in fighting stance in seconds. I followed his lead and stayed silent as laughter rang out from the front of the store.

"Hello hello strangers. I know you're in here you two. I saw you enter. I come in peace," a distorted voice said before more gunshots rang out. Deranged laughter followed and i knew this person was anything but friendly. I was able to pinpoint where he was but a second voice rang out.

"We just want to talk. Maybe we can make a deal," the voice sounded muffled. The person was wearing a mask like me but his must be over his entire head. It was more muffled than mine.

I looked around and saw a back entrance. I quickly grabbed Felix's arm and quietly pulled him towards it. We rushed out and sprinted away from the store, away from the direction of our location so if they followed us we wouldn’t lead them to the girls.

After a while of running we changed direction and looped back to out hide out. We called out to the girls and Marzia answered with a smile. He smiled vanished when we quickly rushed inside and closed the door behind us, barricading it.

"What's wrong?" She asked concerned. Me and Felix were quiet for a moment as we caught our breaths.

"Crazy people is all. We had to run for a while in hope of loosing them but they might come back," I said as I was the first to catch my breath. Marzia nodded but I could see the fear in her eyes.

"Well, Chey is awake but she needs food. Did you at least get some?" She asked and I nodded, holding up my bag. She smiled and took it from me. I was hesitant at first but let her take it and watched as she ,made her way back to the room Chey was in.

I stared for a moment before turning to Felix. He was still catching his breath but stood up straight. He took his bag off and held it up for me to take. I took it and saw him smile. I nodded since he wouldn’t see my smile and pulled out a bottle of water we had packed inside. I handed it to Felix and he gave me a thankful look, taking a quick drink.

I headed into the main room and saw Marzia helping Chey sit up. I watched silently as she handed her some food and water and tended to my girlfriend. They seemed to get along well and these two new strangers didn’t seem like they will backstab us. If anything they want to help us. Maybe I should let them stay and help.

I made my way into the back room and put away all the weapons I didn’t need, keeping some knives and a gun on me like usual. I turned around to see Felix putting all his things back as well and silently watched him. He had a fairly well built body and was actually pretty attractive. But I had a girlfriend so I didn’t think of anything else but being allies with him.

"You can keep a weapon on you for protection if you want. Just in case those crazy people show up," I lied. In reality I just felt it necessary for everyone to have a weapon on the at a time like this.
