Cry's pov
We left the base this morning. We've been driving for a while now and I don't think we're going to stop anytime soon. Those bandits; they attacked the base in the night. We lost over half the group. Mostly weaker people who didn't take cover or were slaughtered in their sleep. But it's still painful to think about.

Me and Felix were almost strangled while sleeping. Felix had woken up to find a dark figure standing over him. He let out a scream and punched the dude. It woke me up and I was able to stab the man on my side while Felix shot his. The whole camp was alerted and everything turned into a giant frenzy of shooting and stabbing. Thankfully these bandits didn't have guns so we were able to get rid of them.

Felix seemed better this morning, even after the attack. He was more himself and not so out of it and... moody. I hate to say it but he did have a short temper. I'm just glad he's getting better though. I kinda miss the secret cuddles and kisses from him.

"About time," Russ groaned, the car slowing to a stop. I looked up from the beanie I was stitching a design onto and looked out the windscreen. I sat in the passenger seat of the truck with Red and Felix sat in the back. Russ of coarse was driving and had to peer through his square brimmed glasses to see ahead of us.

Only Scott and Snake's car was ahead of us but we could see four figures stood infront of their vehicle. One of which I recognised from somewhere. But where? Felix leant forward as well and peered out before his eyes widened and he jumped out of the car.

"God dammit. FELIX COME BACK!" I called as I watched him quickly walk to where Snake and Scott stood infront of the small group. When he didn't stop I climbed out myself and ran to catch up. He was already with the others by the time I caught up and now that I was closer the person was way more familiar.

"Jack?" Felix asked the green haired man. Jack's eyes lit up with relisation and he jumped forward to hug Felix.

"You're still alive! I thought I'd never see you again after the heard. I'm glad you're okay," Jack said cheerfully. He turned to me and smiled more. "Both of you."

He came over and hugged me, surprisingly. I slowly hugged back, feeling a little uncomfrortable. Felix is the only oerson I really let hug me and I could tell Snake and Scott were surprised I'd let this guyhug me. I realised they had no idea who Jack actually was since we'd met him before we got back to the base.

"Oh, guys. This is Jack. We met him on our way back to the group. Just before Chey...," I trailed off at the end, them knowing what happened already. Jack caught on quickly and a sad look crossed his face.

"Sorry to here that. Signe didn't make it either," He said sadly but a small smile came across his face. "But I found this guy." He pointed to a well built male with faded red hair. The man looked like he was part Korean and something else, but had a well tanned body... he looked pretty good too. Not as good as Felix though. (⊙•⊙)

"I'm Mark. Nice too finally meet you guys. Jack told me a bit about you two when we first met. Well, after a week of almost silence that is," Mark chuckled.

"Yeah, We met right after Signe... he refused to leave my side really. I guess I gotta be thankful for that though," Jack said with a smile, looking back at Mark.

"So is this the guy you gave your ring to Felix?" Red said from behind me. She stepped forward with Russ right by her side.

"Yeah, it is actually," Felix said. His usual cheerful voice comming back a little more.

"Speaking of which," Jack said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the same shinny ring I had found in Marzia's bag when I first encountered Felix. I was surprised he still had it, especially since the person he was meant to give it to is now dead.

"You still have it?" Felix said, taking the ring politely and inspecting it.

"Yeah, I never got round to using it actually. We were attacked just before I was going to do it," Jack said, a sad twinge in his voice. "Figured I'd keep it either way." Felix smiled and held it out for Jack to take back but he didn't.

"You can take it back. I don't need it anymore. It's just another memory with a good and bad side to it," Jack said, pushing Felix's hand away. Felix smiled and gave him a nod before turning to Russ.

"Here, a present for your new family member," Felix said, giving the ring to Russ.

"But it's yours," Russ objected.

"I have the same reasons as him. Now take it, I would probably loose it," Felix said with a small laugh. Russ smiled and took the ring, placing it in his spare zip up pocket.

"So what brings you this way?" Scott asked, being the impatient one.

"We were trying to avoid the herd thats comming this way," One of the other people, a female with black hair and one red eye, said.

"Wait, it's heading this way?" Russ asked.

"Yeah, we've been trying to outrun it for almost a week. It's hard on foot," a female with brown and purple hair said tiredly.

"You guys look exhausted and freezing. Why don't you come and join us in the cars. We have enough room for you all in the cars. Theres some lovely ladies that will be able to bring in you two girls. While me and Russ can ride with Scott so you two gentleman can go with Felix and Cry," Red said politely.

Scott looked skeptical but Red was already taking the hands of the girls and pulling them towards the two other cars behind us. We had a total of four vehicals now. Two five seater cars, the truck and an eight seater van. Twenty three seats; and now a total of seventeen people. Plenty of room for everyone and all our stuff too. And more room just keeps opening up.

So now we have four more people to possibly kill- I mean... go on a journy with...
