Cry's pov
I sat with my head in my hands. It's been three days since Felix got shot and thankfully his body became stable. He is going to live. But, his condition has gotten worse. His skin is an frightful pale colour and looks dry. His breathing is rigid and scratchy and his body twitches every now and then. He's begining to look like the dead and I'm afraid he might become one soon.

"Come on Felix. Don't do this to me," I whispered, looking over his sleeping figure.

I held onto his hand and gently rubbed circles on it ewih my thumb. I felt his grib tighten and my head shot up. I watched as his eyes tried to open and his head shifted. His breathing picked up but it sounded awefully deathlike. He tried to sit up quickly but ended up falling back down and coughing.

I took a few uncertain steps back, just in case, and watched him with caution. He grabbed at his side and attempted to sit up again, once again failing. His eyes still hadn't opened properly so I took a silent step forward, still watching his every move.

"Fuck," he uttered and I instantly knew he was alive. Dead men don't talk.

"Felix," I said as relief washed over me. His eyes flickered open and he squinted at me.

"Cry... what... what happened?" He breathed out, clearly still in pain.

I grabbed some pain killers and a water bottle Red had given to me, but I never used it, and handed the items to Felix. He took a quick drink before taking the pills and drinking more water.

"I don't really know. You pushed me out of the way after we were ambused. I thought we'd won but you had been shot. Red patched you up but you passed out before she could finish. You've been unconscious since then," I said breifly.

"How... how long?" Felix managed to ask. I hesitated before answering.

"Three days."

He seemed shocked by my answer. He closed his eyes to think it over before looking at me again. But his eyes were weak and drained. They didn't hold the energy and joy they always used to. I longed to get that back.

"Shit. Did anyone else get hurt?" He asked, his breathing slowly returning to normal.

"No, Scott found a small camp not far out from here. There weren't many people there but we descovered they had been working with two of the new guys here to smuggle stuff out of the base. We happen to intercept them on a run when stuff went down hill on both sides," I replied, motioning to Felix's side.

"Figures," He muttered. "I'm sorry."

"What for?" I asked. I was thrown off by his statement. I didn't expect him to say anything, especially not that.

"For running off. For ignoring you. For being a dick... I let words get in the way of my own thoughts and actions. I wasn't thinking straight," He said sadly. Was he referring to what happened the other day?

"Felix, that wasn't your fault. Obviously something was said that threw you off and you didn't know how to react. Don't worry about it," I said with a smile. He forced a weak smile but it quickly faded as he grabbed his side and groaned.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I rushed forward to help.

"Nothing Just... pain. Now I know how cramps feel when women are on their period," he said sarcastically.(I had to, it's a Felix thing to say)

"Not sure if they're the same thing but sure thing buddy," I replied with a laugh. "Anything I can get you?"

"Nah I'll be fine. Just need to wait for the pain killers to kick in a little more," He said as he closed his eyes. The room fell quiet for a moment, just a moment, but I felt the urge to say something. To keep the conversation going.

"I'm sorry too you know. If I hadn't have made up the stupid excuse to do a perimiter check with you, you might not have been shot. I could have saved you all the pain," I said, tears coming to my eyes.

"Cry, look. It wasn't your fault I was shot. We happen to run into those guys and it's good we did. We found out they were stealing supplies and now they wont be able to. Technically, I wouldn't have even been shot if I hadn't pushed you out the way, You would have been shot. So it was more my fault than your own. But let's not play 'who's the guilty one and who's not'," Felix confessed.

So he was shot by the first bullet. He pushed me out of the way so I wouldn't get hit. But why? Was it because I had the gun and he didn't or was it because of something else?

"Why did you push me out of the way?" I decided to ask. I could see the flicker of emotion in his eyes and the million thoughts flying around inside his head. But I was unable to actually read what they said.

"Well, you're a better fighter than me and if you got shot then we'd probably be dead, and I didn't have a weapon so that helped. And because it's a natural thing to do, save your friends," Felix said, the last part causing a tinge in my chest. Is that all we are? Friends?

"I should let you rest. I know you hate it but you need it. You took a pretty big hit and your body is still weak. Is there anything you want?" I said quietly. Felix thought for a moment before giving me a side smirk.

"I want two things. First one, can I get something sweet to eat. I need sugar right now. And second one, do you mind staying with me again? It helped last time and I just need someone with me right now," Felix said anxiously.

"Sure thing," I said with a smile before leaving for a moment to find something for Felix to eat.

Why don't you let him eat yo dick XD
