Felix's pov
Jack and Wiishu left about an hour after sunrise to find a house to stay at. They said a thankyou before leaving since we had given them some supplies and a bag to use. I could tell Jack was thankful for my gift and he even gave me a thumbs up as they left. I hope it all goes well.

Chey's leg got infected overnight. We don't have anything to treat it though so all we could do was wash out the wound and replace the bandages. We started driving again at about midday and its already nearly night. I think Cry said something about a town coming up and we might be able to restock and find some medicine for Chey.

I was glad Cry hadn't made me leave yet. I don't think I'll be able to make it too far on my own in this world. I would go crazy without someone around to help me or reasure me surviving wasn't a waste of time.

Cry was currently driving, I was in the passenger seat and Chey was resting in the back. I looked back at her to check up on her to see her face scrunched up in pain. I checked her leg to see the skin turning red arpund the bandages and it creeping upwards. I let out a sigh and returned my attention to the front of the vehical.

"How is she?" Cry asked. I hesitated when answering. I know the truth isn't what he wants to hear but I wasn't going to lie to him any time soon.

"No good. The infection is spreading. If it gets worse she might die in I say, a week," I informed. I could tell it really put him on edge but he needed to hear it.

"Let's hope this town has medicine then," he stated before the car fell silent again. I didn't try to break it either. The car has always been silent when driving. We all have too many things to worry about conversations are unnecessary.

"Do you think she'll live even if we get the medicine?" Cry's question caught me by surprise. I looked at gim with shock but his mask gave away nothing and he refused to take his eyes off the road.

"At the moment no. But if the infection gets worse then her chances are low. But it's not that bad just yet. We still have hope," I amswered with a frown.

"If he chances do get too low and there is no way we can save her, I don't know what I'll do," Cry said and it sounded like he was on the verge of tears. I'd never heard Cry this emotional before.

"It's not that bad yet. Let's not think about that," I said, not wanting to continue this conversation.

"If it gets that bad then don't forget your promise," Chey's voice made me jump. She slowly sat up, without moving her leg too much, and looked at Cry. I looked at Cry to see him swallow and nod his head.

"What promise?" I asked, oblivious to the couples plans.

"Don't worry about it," Cry stated blankly. I stared at him for a moment before nodding slowly. I returned my attention back to what was infront of us and a figure standing off in the distance.

I narrowed my eyes to try and see it better but all I could pinpoint was that it looked human but it could be one of the dead. The car slowed when Cry noticed the figure. As we approached it I realised it's eyes were bleeding and blood was dripping from its mouth. It was deffinately dead.

"Stop the car," I said to Cry. He turned to me, as if axking for an explanation but I didn't give any. Ws came to a hault and I jumped out, grabbing a base ball bat I had found along the way, and approached the dead figure.

It started to stagger towards me but I was faster. I swung the bat and its skull caved in on itself. A loud crack rang out and the undead monster fell to the ground. I let out a puff of air before stomping on its head, just to make sure it wasn't going to bite me, before searching its clothes for anything useful.

I stopped when I felt something in its back pocket. But I couldn't flip it over to get it. I stoob up and signaled Cry over. He climbed out of the car a few moments later and approached me.

"Help me flip it over. There's something in its back pocket but I can't get to it," I explained quickly. He nodded and we both worked together to flip the rottem creature over.

"Ugh," I muttered as a foul smell invaded my nostils. I waved my hand infront of my face to try and get it away but it didn't work. I held my breath as I leaned back down and pulled a phone out of the deads pocket.

My and Cry exchanged glances before I tried to turn the device on. A few seconds of silence before the screen lit up and I gasped. It worked? But how? Soon after the dead bagan to spread the power cut out throughout the whole country. Planes and boats or any means of transport weren't allowed to leave the country so the dead wouldn't spread but we soon got word that the whole world had been infected by it.

I think it's been nearly six months since then. So how the hell did this person keep a charged phone for that long? Unless they were infected quickly. That might explain the smell. Either way, they didn't need the phone now.

"How much battery does it have?" Cry asked as he stared down at the phone. I waited until it was fully on before checking.

"84%. He must have been one of the first to become the dead. Poor guy," I replied, handing the phone over to Cry. He flicked through it for a moment before tapping on something and music began to play, quietly though.

I looked up at him and smiled. Now it wont be so quiet in the car. At least until the battery goes flat. Cry handed me back the phone and signaling for me to follow him back to the car. We both jumped in and Cry searched through his bag, pulling out a phone cable.

He plugged it into the car then plugged the phone it. The screen lit up saying it was charging. I looked at him amazed and shooked. Why did he have a random phone charger?

"Always keep a charge on me just in case," Cry said with a hint of sass. I smiled and chuckled before laying back and enjoying the music. We began driving again but this time we had the beat of the music to entertain us.

I bet they're listening to something gay like 1D or JB. *gags*
