Author's note
Hey guys! I'm finally, finally back with an update!
Firstly, the reason for the delay in posting this is because I couldn't write this chapter for a while as I was busy with my studies and also sort of had a writer's block.
Secondly, I would like to announce that I recently won the FIRST PLACE in the Eminence_Awards and tied in SECOND PLACE in TheHeavenlyAwards. I'm so happy about this! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my book and for showing your support. Love you guys!
Thirdly, since so many good things are happening, I'm giving Y'all the longest update I've ever written (This chapter has crossed 5000+ words and it is still shocking for me). So enjoy reading this chapter!
Dedicated to my wattpad friend sinful_souls for supporting my book from the beginning. Seriously, it means a lot to me. Thank you!
Make sure to check out her works. My personal favourite is 'Mate of the Moon Goddess' because it has such a unique and different theme from other books in the werewolf genre.

Chapter 14
Ryan's POV
"Black magic?"
Silence.
"Y-you mean, the forbidden black magic?"
Even more silence.
"T-the one that has been forbidden for, like a thousand years?"
Dead Silence.
I don't think I was expecting any other sort of reaction to this.
"How do you know that?" I ask him again.
"Yeah, how are you so sure?" Bennett seconds my thoughts.
Mr LaGray looks at each one of us, carefully assessing our faces. Then he lets out a sigh and turns to look at his son.
"Tell everyone what you felt," Tristan opens his mouth to argue, but one look from his father makes him shut up and look at all of us. He lets out a final sigh and starts speaking.
"The day we went to Verba Atramento to see the damage done, I was just walking around looking at the dusty remnants and shattered glass crystals on the floor." He looks at the ground as if reminiscing that day.
"That's when I felt it: the strong aura of something dark and vicious. Its presence disturbed me so much, that I froze in place. Like, I couldn't control my own body and as it was being held off by something.
"And then after what felt like some seconds but later I came to know was hours, my whole body was tingling with this exciting sensation, like every cell in my body has been rejuvenated. It felt like my elemental ability was being teased, the sensation dancing and tingling on every nerve ending in my body.
"That exact moment a sudden realisation of something extremely cold hitting me came upon me and jolted me out of my frozen state as ice cold water flowed down my body." He shoots a pointed look at Aunt Cora after saying that.
"And after a while," My attention snaps back to him when he continues,
"I was thinking about what had happened earlier that day and was very confused. The feeling I felt in that demolished library, like darkness creeping up my arms with their vicious fingers leisurely crawling up and spreading everywhere, it was horrifying. I ran my mind through all possible causes. I thought hard, analysing each and everything that could possibly be wrong. But to my surprise," He pauses and swallows hard.
