I jolted upwards when I heard someone knocking on the door and calling out my name. It was odd. No one had ever come to my rescue I had always ever been left to my own devices. Now someone showed care but I was too stunned to answer.

"Yes. I think so." I said through the walls. I'm not sure whether the person on the outside could hear me but the knocking did not continue on the door. It was silent and so I walked to the door and opened it. The door seemed heavier than earlier on in the night and didn't open as nicely but I also felt much weaker than then. I opened a single door to find Tanner standing in his midnight glory. He's black pants from the day remained while his top has disappeared. His pants still had the rip on his leg and I could see that he had had it treated. It was healing very quickly. After searching the wound area I found his belt and remembered that he had no top on.

His masculine body was visible. When I found his eyes after a long while I found his wicked smile and I had to look away. They were piercing eyes and the expression told me he knew something. He was hiding some deep secret from me. When my eyes found the room around me I I walked towards the window. I avoided looking upon him and focused elsewhere. I was not in the mood to loose breathe over someone's appearance.

"Nightmare or Assassin dreams?"

"Huh?" I looked outside the window. The snow was still falling thick. I had never seen snow so it was a beautiful sight. The intricate shapes and soft wind made the view magical. The stone houses and castle walls and buildings were beautiful too. They complimented each other. The snow fell gracefully to the ground and I saw the place as peaceful. How could such underworld figures be a part of this world?

Tanner walked to stand beside me. His left shoulder touching my right.

"It was Assassin dreams wasn't it?"

"How can you stand it. Every kill it must be the same. More dreams."

"After those dreams I found it easier. I never got any other dreams. I do doubt my actions sometimes but soon I find reasons why my actions were right. Yes it may be in humane but I'm pretty convincing as you may know. My "Assassin Dreams" came after my second kill. I hadn't slept between the two assignments but once the dreams came and I chose to be an assassin slash kidnapper they never came again. Killing someone didn't seem to faze me after that. So I've always thought or at least since then that they come when you choose being an assassin. I suppose your situation supports my theory."

"My situation, great use of words."

He stood so close to me as I lent on the ledge to create more space between us.

"I will be off to bed. Preferably don't scream out loud again. I would like to get some sleep before tomorrow where you bore me to death at training. My fingers are crossed that you aren't as terrible as your brother." It was a direct insult to Avery. He was my twin I had to defend him. But what could I say. Tanner would never believe me anyway. I felt a shint of metal against my thigh slightly. I didn't dare to look and I didn't dare react. It had been there for longer than I had realised. It was an arrow pointed at my thigh. All this sharp objects were like Tanner was testing me. Like I had to notice in a quick time or something.

"Please remove the arrow pointed at my thigh." I was calm but my blood was speeding up.

"Your all but too slow Lady Ambrose. You could be dead or seriously injured by now. If it were anyone but me for that matter. Milliseconds is how long you could die in with me."

With that the arrow was removed from the place near my thigh and he was gone. Not a creak in the floor, nor the door as he exited. I didn't see hear or notice him leave. He was all too secretive. He was an assassin. He was like a fox. He was swift and quick. He was quiet and efficient. He was smart and witty. He again ticked more boxes. Before noticing his sudden disappearance I would have laughed at his comment. His cocky remark set my mind elsewhere and allowed him to disappear without a trace.
