I just laughed. Laughed off the question and he simply lowered his eyebrows.

"I just presumed there was some connection."
"Merely a mentor but more of the tormenting type."
"He's tried to kill you."
"More than once."

I rubbed my hand unconsciously and he pointed at it.
"Yes that was him." Then he dissed me with a flick of his wrist and I left. I went for a run. I felt as though I was getting out of shape. In the midst of my run I came across some sandbags. My old enemies. I simply ran with them to the house and left them there and then transported them all to my private cottage. I left them outside and went inside.

I was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. I would now make myself do that every morning. That way it wouldn't hurt as much still.

I had no assignment and I could tell he had none for me. I would need to train myself up ad continue to get better. I needed to practise more and maybe even evaluate my life long target. The Prince was due for a visit here soon. I was sure he would have to visit. But only the town people would know when he actually arrived. Even still I would need to be able to get into the library. Even still I wasn't sure if I wanted to see him. Or if I could possibly.

The last he saw of me was probably the dance. The dance he so weirdly put me on the list for. The dance where we danced. The dance where he sister looked awfully frail.

The two weeks passed and I had not left my cottage perimeter. I stayed and trained. I ran the sandbags up and down. I collected weapons and hid them amongst the trees. I hid a few weapons under the floor boards of my cottage. I completely redecorated to say the least.

The trees around the cottage were quite let me say, destroyed. I had been practising on them and at the very least four had completely fallen down. All that now remained was the stump. I had used the trunk of one tree to create weights. More training tools. The other trunks I broke up and dispatched in the woods. Some I scattered others I burnt off like a fire.

I was getting better. I could carry four sandbags above my head and run. I had only ever managed one or two on a good day. In two weeks I had transformed my body. I was now stronger and faster than ever before. I felt alive.

I hadn't seen the assassin in those two weeks. But he had left on the door step four dresses and a night gown for me five days into those two weeks. I didn't know why, but I didn't argue. They fitted perfectly and were very beautiful and soft. Now that I felt renewed, I decided to go and see him. Check if the magic in the world was still strong. See if he had an assignment for me although I had not been called upon.

I got dressed into my assassin garments and ran to his house. I walked in through the back and inside. It was quiet and very cold. The fire was extinguished and the place deserted. I checked in every room that I had ever been in. They were as they had been before, empty.

I went into a room that I had slept on the floor in many a times and there sat a dress. The dress was cold much like the rest of the house. It lay in a crumpled heap. But I put it on. I transferred the three daggers into the hidden pockets on the dress.

As I pushed one dagger into the slit it sliced through something. I pulled the dagger out and now around the blade was a piece of paper all folded up. I took the paper off the dagger and placed the dagger into the slit. It fir perfectly. Lovely.

I unfolded the paper with extreme curiosity. I couldn't wait.
"Magic is faltering. The King is capturing and/or gathering all the powerful leaders. They know this place exists. So get out and find somewhere to stay. Do not leave it until the last minute. Take all the dresses and pack a suitcase. There is one in the hidden cupboard of this room. Put on your red wig and leave Pendelum. I have a hide out in Jadesan. Take yourself their. It is within the town but it will be no trouble for you to hide there. Take everything that connects to you. If I am captured and can escape I will meet you there. If I never come you will be fine. Be sure to fit in. And whenever you dare kill, where your blonde wig and your black clothes including the cape I gave you. It adds to the affect."
