Tanner's eyes lit up wildly while Avonde tensed. This was the part of Tanner he was afraid of. Tanner looked wicked and chills even travelled the length of my spine. But I also felt the adrenaline spread.

The fear of the uninvited guest was big enough but the look of Tanner's face made me both excited and truly frightened. Tanner had not seen him yet or did not know where he was but only by my eyes did he have a general direction of where the intruder stood.

Tanner closed his eyes and a number of mirrors appeared in the room. We were not in the room of mirrors nor did the mirrors cover the walls and floors completely. All the mirrors were sort of hidden. Not too obvious or large. All just big enough to see an image. Situated perfectly for his use as well. He looked through each one searching for the person who wasn't invited. Then he found him and a wickedness took over him.

He blinked once and all the mirrors were gone. Then he took my arm and Avonde gasped.

"Time to train." We walked right up to the Prince's side with not a single bit of urgency. Calmly striding I tried to keep my heart rate down. Focussing on the walls and the different textures of dresses.

I could not train against the person who was here now. He was not the kind of person a training assassin should train against. Tanner had a quick word with the Prince before he used the mirrors once more.

"So is Avonde coming? Or is he just going to cower in fear all night."

I looked at Avonde pleadingly. He pulled himself towards us standing tall. We looked all too suspicious. However the intruder did not seem fazed by us.

"How long has your father been following you?"

"I have no idea." I really didn't then Tanner looked at Avonde who gave a more detailed answer.

"He followed her from her capture as far as we know. They had him locked up at GD. He must have escaped." Where as GD? Is that where we had been? Did Tanner know where that was?

"If they take one they will eventually take you all." He walked me cautiously to a balcony keeping a keen eye on all surroundings. No one else had noticed our father's unexpected arrival.

"We were already captured there."

"What?" Tanner was so lost. He looked angrily at Avonde and immediately understood how we had found each other.

"Can we fill you in later we kind of have a little issue called our father." Avonde pleaded as he motioned towards our fathers direction.

As they quarrelled my mind raced. Why was our father following us if last I heard he didn't know we existed? Why does Tanner sometimes act like he remembers and at other times he doesn't? I could feel my dagger in my dress rubbing against my leg. I looked at them both and saw not as many similarities as before I had left. They use to be pretty close and now they were so different it was crazy.

"You have the strangest of thoughts Ambrose. The two of you both need to remember that training to be an assassin does not just involve the attack."

"But the retreat as well." That was something we always use to say. Once again he paused then shook his head.

My heart sank with the knowledge he still didn't remember and that is would never be the same as it was. As we walked to the balcony I felt the breeze through the open curtains. The beautiful green material lifted off the floor as the wind speed picked up.

"The fleur doesn't just transfer people between realms of earth. It also transports people to different parts inside of the realm. Just think of where you want to go and it should take you. But be clear."
