When I finally walked myself back to my bed I was still shaking.

My mind was full of questions. Questions in need of some serious answers and explanation attached.

My hands were uncontrollable and my feet were numb. When I found my bed I was more scared than relieved. I was capable of so much.

What had I done?

How did I know what to do?

I was dangerous. Tanner was testing me. But I kept my cool. I was level headed and didn't over react or scream or rage. I didn't find it hard to release the arrow. I didn't question whether I should hold the dagger to his ribs. I didn't hesitate. I am capable of so much.

So I reminded myself of what I know. What I am sure of.

I am not an average girl.

My name is Angel Ambrose.

I'm in the Kingdom of Hasbury.

I'm in Pendelum.

Pendelum is one of four villages.

The Prince is very good looking.

Avery is a flirt.

I fell asleep before my list was complete. I had so many more to saw but my mind had already left the conscious state. I slept and I slept deeply. I did not dream. I did not have a nightmare. I did not have a single thought. My blood followed its route. My body continued to work and keep me alive.

When I woke I did not register where I was. I had awoken in different rooms. I looked around me and saw the curtains of the bed I saw last night in the moonlight. I was overwhelmed by the cold breeze blowing through the window. The window had been opened and the fire lights had been lit. Someone had been here and when I saw the figure by the window that appeared closed I knew they hadn't left. He hadn't left.

"We have to get out of here Angel." He had been watching me and had heard me arouse I was sure.

"Avery?"

"Yes. We have to get out we can't stay here. He doesn't care about us. He doesn't know our mother. He's lying. He's lying about it all. He's going to kill us." He was talking so quickly. I wasn't sure who he was talking about. He said he. Who had he met that I hadn't. Unless he was talking about. Tanner.

"Slow down Avery. Who are you talking about?"

"Madison and he's coming to have breakfast with you in an hour we have to get out now."

"Woah. How sure are you? What proof do you have?" He looked at me puzzled. I am a person who needs an explanation and a reason.

But then I questioned that need. Did I need one for Tanner? He had basically almost killed me last night. He was capable of killing me, full stop. That should have been a good enough reason but it wasn't. I wanted to stay. I wanted to learn more.

"Are you coming or not?"

"What proof do you have?"

"Last night I was locked into my rooms."

"Your over reacting. It's a good thing he locked your room. He locked mine until he left for the second time."

"You can stay if you want but I'm going tonight. If you change your mind let me know."

Avery stepped away from where he stood beside my bed and he walked to the door. His steps were taken with urgency and his posture was astounding. Perhaps Avery was more afraid of the person he would become. He waited a second at the door before turning around to look at me. I was sitting atop my bed and stood before he spoke.
