Tanner looked at me almost dumb founded. He didn't understand what I had said.

"Elaborate."

"I'm afraid I cannot." I was not going too. I'd not said it for a reason. He couldn't expect me to just blurt it out now.

"My dear Lady Ambrose have you forgotten who I am?" He cracked his knuckles with his wicked but cheeky grin. He couldn't be serious around me for very long. But I also couldn't keep secrets from him. It was beginning to annoy me how much he always seemed to find out. Just a trick of the trade I suppose.

"No but perhaps you do not remember me either. Perhaps you are not right about me." I hinted but he just looked confused.

"Continue."

"Are we related or not?"

"You and me." There was that cheek from the day in the mirrors and when we first arrived in Pendelum. It made me smile which annoyed me.

"Yes you are both related but Avery has some weird idea that you're not. Don't know where he heard it from but he's a laugh and a half. Even you have admitted that. And too him as well." That was the other morning or night. How would he know unless...

"You were spying on us too?"

"Not for very long. You weren't a big enough threat to waste time on."

"I'm sorry for wasting time but I must go." I walked away into the empty street until his voice stopped me.

"You are right but to where? You have no place to stay." He looked around him to see if anyone was listening to our conversation but barely anyone was about.

"I do, actually, so good bye Tanner. See you back in Pendelum perhaps."

"You really are an assassin. Full of secrets and breaking the rules." I had not really been told what I could and couldn't do. They weren't written in front of me either.

"This isn't a game Tanner there are no rules." I walked off out of the village and back into the woods.

I watched as the pink mist began to engulf a lot of men's minds. It was crazy and spread like wildfire. When Avery spoke to a man he soon became surrounded and when that man spoke to another he became surrounded. It was not only her who was spreading the curse or magic. It was them. Those who were affecting were you could say contagious.

I didn't let Avery leave my sights until the sun had completely gone down and they had all moved inside a little cottage or house. There was many of them following her now. I wondered how they all managed to fit into that little cottage.

I sat in the tree watching the Kingdom. Past the gates of the castle walked Knights and Lords. There were patrols in the gardens and on the roof tops of gold. With the patrollers out it will be hard for me to keep an eye on anyone and so I snuck my way in. Keeping deep in the shadows although they still freaked me out from the episode in Andal. I creeped around to the cottage and looked into the window.

The cottage was empty. Not a single man or woman was inside. That wasn't possible. I had seen many people or men more so go into that room. Through the window I could not even see the pink smoke. I walked to the door and knocked many times. I heard footsteps but looking through the window I couldn't see anyone. The door unlocked and opened. Still I saw no one just an opening door. When I returned myself to the door I saw Avery.

I hit him in the head with te handle of my sword knocking him onto the ground. His body slumped awkwardly I dragged him away from the cottage. If the guards could see this they would definitely not approve and start shooting down at me at any moment. Keeping to the shadows I dragged Avery's heavy body as far as I could away from the cottage.
