"No no no!"

Kayla shuffled through her memories box and realized there was no trace of Stiles anywhere. Instead of pictures with Scott, Stiles, and her, it was just now herself and Scott. Kayla tugged at her blonde hair in frustration, wanting to scream at the top of her lungs (she couldn't, however, due to the apartment walls being as thin as paper).

Kayla had also been noticing distant memories of Stiles disappearing, but it wasn't as bad as the others; they couldn't remember a single thing about Stiles. She decided to go to bed, not being able to get much sleep that night.

The next morning at school, Kayla felt like she was in a whole other universe. She didn't know why, but Beacon Hills High just seemed so different without the sarcastic human wandering the halls. The thing was, people were acting like nothing was different. Everyone was laughing and smiling with no worries on their mind, but Kayla knew there was something coming – the Ghost Riders.

Kayla went to class like any normal student would, thanking her math teacher when she received an A+ on her test. She looked over at Malia and saw her claws come out, holding onto the bottom of her desk. Her hand went over to the were coyote's arm.

"Hey," Kayla caught her attention and she swiveled her head at her quickly. "It's just one test, okay?"

Malia breathed in a deep breath and nodded. Her claws retreated and she brought her hands back on her desk. "Thanks."

Kayla nodded and looked down at her empty notebook where she would start writing notes. As her teacher started putting up the material for the day, a voice came on the intercom: "Kayla Whittemore, please come to the train station."

Her eyes scrunched up in confusion and looked up at the teacher, but she payed no attention to what had just occurred. Kayla decided to ignore, just tricks playing in her head, but then a screeching sound (like trains stopping on a track) rang through the intercom. Her hands went up to her ears to try and block out the sound; it didn't help.

The sound stopped when a body bumped into her. Kayla's eyes opened and looked to see she was outside in the hallways in Scott McCall's arms.

"You okay? What happened?" Scott asked as his hands and eyes searched his friend.

Kayla finally realized that she had ran outside into the hallway with all her stuff. She breathed out, finally finding the words to speak. "I – I don't know. I was hearing things and it went out of control."
