Kayla found herself on the staircase during school writing memories down from a year ago. It was about a spirit taking over Stiles' body and her going along with him. She knew the memories were real, but something kept telling her that she was just crazy. They're trying to make me not remember Stiles.

"Malia!"

The blonde looked down from where she was sitting and saw Malia – well, as a were-coyote – run past her. She quickly put her notebook in her book bag and ran after her; Malia went down to the basement. Scott, Lydia, Ms.Martin, and Sheriff Stilinski all followed the Whittemore girl down there.

"Malia," Scott being the alpha tried to calm her down. "I'm not gonna hurt you." Malia didn't run at them, which was a good sign. "I think she's calming down."

"Maybe you should growl at her?" Sheriff Stilinski suggested from the back of the group. "Scott, you're the alpha. Can't you just make her a little more docile?"

"She's not the problem, we are," Lydia realizes. "This is her territory."

Kayla motioned her hands toward the stairs with a obvious look on her face. "Then let's leave before she mauls us."

Scott nodded in agreement and pushed everyone towards the stairs. Lydia slowly stopped them, informing what she knew. "Malia came here to get through full moons. Then we started using the lake house."

Natalie's eyes narrowed at her daughter, "I thought you said a wild animal got in the lake house."

"Just be happy about all the things I didn't tell you," Lydia whisper-yells at her.

Malia started growling again, but this time she walked forward. Her four legs turned into her human feet. She stood there naked in front of everyone, "It's okay. I'm alright."

Natalia went over and handed Malia her clothes so she could cover up. Sheriff Stilinski avoided looking at her and leaned forward, "Any idea what made her shift?"

"She's under a lot of pressure," Scott answered. "School, her life after graduation."

"Her mom trying to kill her," Lydia adds in.

"What controls your shifting is your anchor," Kayla points out to them. She wasn't here for when Stiles and Malia were first together, but maybe he was her anchor. "My anchor was Isaac, but then it turned into–"

She cut herself off, not knowing why. She was going to say Stiles, but it was like the name wouldn't leave her tongue.

"Stiles?" Scott finished for her. Kayla looked up at him and nodded. "Maybe Malia's anchor was Stiles."

"We don't even know if a 'stiles' was real," Lydia states.

"It's a 'he'," Sheriff Stilinski speaks up. He was also your son! Kayla wanted to say. "Stiles. It was a family nickname. I never used it but, uh, my father did."

Scott, Lydia, and Kayla all looked at one another and knew they had to get more answers.
