"Oh my god."

Looking at the test in disbelief, I set it on the counter, hearing the front door open. I wanted to jump out the window and not deal with this, but something inside me told me that I had to confront the situation. I opened the bathroom door and saw Theo hanging up his jacket. He takes notice of me and knows something's wrong. Nerves wrack my whole body and I don't know what to say, so I motion him into the kitchen.

"Kayla what's wrong? You seem really distracted right now," he leans against the counter across from me, waiting for me to speak.

Instead of explaining how I think it happened, I decide to be straight up with him. "I'm pregnant."

His face contorts in shock, but also confusion. "That's impossible."

I shake my head and smile, holding my stomach where in just a couple months it would be a noticeable bump

I shake my head and smile, holding my stomach where in just a couple months it would be a noticeable bump. Something inside of me clicked all of a sudden and the thought of having a child with Theo excited. "It is possible, and I think this is a good thing for us. We've been married for two years; I think this is a good thing for us."

"We're twenty one, Kayla!" Theo's voice raises suddenly which takes me aback. "When we have a kid, it ruins our fun, our life. I don't want this."

He backs up and takes his jacket again, going out just like the way he came in. My smile falters and I never thought Theo would have this reaction to my wonderful news. I know we were still young, but a baby wouldn't ruin everything we had in life. Just look at Nathan and Haley; they ended up having some of the best time of their lives with a child at their age. Theo would come back – I knew he will – it'll just take time to digest it.

Four months later and no one had a clue where Theo Raeken was. No texts or calls came from him and he wouldn't answer anyone else. Today was an ultra sound to find out the gender of the miracle growing inside of me. Stiles offered to go with me today and I didn't think twice about saying yes.

We entered my doctor's office and waited in the room for Doctor Jane to come in. Her smile lit up the dark and depressing room when she entered and settled me into the chair.

"Ready to find out if it's a boy or a girl?" she grinned as she lathered the substance on my stomach.

I nodded nervously and Doctor Jane started her ultra sound machine and placed the wand on my lower abdomen. I didn't see anything on the monitor at first, but then I could see the outline of my baby and the heartbeat echoed throughout the room. Something threw me off guard when I noticed another outline right next to the baby.
