The wall-length mirror showed my whole figure and how I would look in front of fifty people today. My lace white dress bloomed out at my waist and went all the way to the floor. I tried holding back tears, but it was finally here; I was getting married. A knock on the door startled me and I sat back down on the bed.
"Come in."
Jackson peeked through to make sure I was okay and came in, sitting right beside me. "So...how are you feeling?"
"Nervous," I clasped my hands together so they wouldn't continue to shake uncontrollably. "I'm marrying the man I love today and I'm only twenty."
Jackson chuckled and pulled me in a side hug. I leaned my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. "Age is literally just a number Kayla. You and Theo: epic. I've never seen someone love you as much as he does. Kayla you look stunning and everyone in the room will be wishing they were you. Now, let's go rock that purple carpet."
Jackson stood up and held out his hand which I took. Since our parents couldn't make it (no surprise) because of work, Jackson stopped what he was doing and came from London to the wedding.
Theo and I decided on a huge church with a beautiful outside scenery for the ceremony. We invited only around fifty people because, well we didn't know or have that much family around. Jackson and I walked out the doors and I saw Lydia and Malia just getting into their brides maids position. Everyone stood up from their seats, I linked my arm with my brother's and we walked down the steps.
I saw Liam first and he gave me a small wave, then Scott and Stiles who looked like they were about to cry, and then...Theo. When we locked eyes it felt like the scene from Breaking Dawn where no one was around, it was just us two. I held onto Jackson tighter so I wouldn't fall. After what seemed like forever, Jackson let me go to Theo and I took his hands.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, and to cherish the words which shall unite Kayla and Theo in marriage," the pastor states and I stare at Theo the whole time, knowing that we were here and together. "Marriage is the promise between two people who love each other, and who trust in that love, who honor each other as individuals, and who choose to spend the rest of their lives together.
This ceremony will not create a relationship that does not already exist between you. It is a symbol of how far you have come these past few years. It is a symbol of the promises you will make to each other to continue growing stronger as individuals and partners. No matter what challenges you face, you now face them together, and no matter how much you succeed, you now succeed together. The love between you joins as one now. Now, the Bride and Groom have a few words to share."
The pastor motioned to me and I cleared my throat; I didn't write my vows, but I knew what I was going to say. "I remember the first time we were actually nice to each other in fourth grade. Stiles was joking around and accidentally pushed me off the monkey bars. Your little nine year old self came running tried to catch me, but we both fell in the mulch. I got up and asked why you did that and you said: 'I like to save pretty girls'. I don't know why, but that made me see who you really were even in the fourth grade. You care about people and you opened up that side to me. I love you so much Theo and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us."
