THE NIGHT OF THE FINAL FIGHT WITH THE WILD HUNT

Theo carried the body of his dead girlfriend inside the hospital. The whole pack was behind him, not saying a single word to one another. Death was something they always escaped – now they lost Allison and Kayla.

Melissa came out of the elevator, her heart stopping when she saw no breaths leaving the blonde's lips. "Let me get her in a room–"

"She's already gone," Scott told his mom with so much pain in his voice.

"In here," she opened a door and Theo set Kayla down on the bed. "You guys – um, you can say your goodbyes. I have to take her down soon to the morgue to you, you know."

Malia looked up from the white tiles. Tears were filling her eyes, something that didn't happen often. "There's seriously nothing we can do?"

"You heard Douglas, she would die if she pulled the lever," Theo stated with no emotion in his voice. "I need to go."

Liam stepped aside so he
can run out of the room. The beta followed him and held onto his arm. "Don't leave."

"Why not?" Theo turned around and yelled. Everyone around them glanced up at the two. "She's dead! I don't need to stay."

"Say your goodbyes at least," Liam begged him. "Listen...she loved you so much, more than I have ever seen. You did too because you wanted her over power, something you don't see happen with villains in movies. Just, please stay because you will regret it later."

Theo took a deep breath and nodded; Liam was right, he should say goodbye or he would regret soon.

Outside the room Kayla was lying in, Lydia and Scott were looking at the contact names on their phone's. Lydia scrolled down and pressed a name. "Jackson needs to know."

Scott scrolled through his contacts too, seeing who needed to be informed by this tragedy. His finger then lingered over a name, not knowing what to do. "I don't know if I should call him."

Malia came out from the room where Theo was in now. She looked over Scott's shoulder, looking at the name, "Of course you should call him. It's a no brainer."

Scott nodded and pressed on his name. The phone started ringing, and he didn't know the first thing to say to him.

"Hello?"

"Uh – hey Isaac."

Isaac's eyes widened at Scott's voice coming through the phone; he hasn't heard from the pack in such a long time. "Hey. What's up?"

"I really don't know how to tell you this," Scott began with. His heart beat started speeding, Isaac noticed this. "It's about Kayla."

Isaac stopped walking in the streets of Paris, pressing his phone closer to his ear. "Is she okay?"

Here it was, the moment of truth. "Oh god, um, she – she's dead."

His phone dropped to the cement, cracking in the process. He didn't care to ask how or what exactly happened, all he knew was that she was dead. Kayla was the girl who brought him out of the dark, who loved him truly. Isaac stared at the ground, not bothering to pick up his phone yet.

"No no no no no."

When he picked up the phone again, Scott was yelling on the other line.

"Isaac pick up! She's actually alive! It was just her grim reaper side that died!"

Isaac's heart beat slowed down and he remembered how to breathe again. "Oh thank god."

"You know," Scott said before he would hang up to greet Kayla. "You could come back to Beacon Hills now. If you want of course."

Isaac didn't want to make a decision now, but he would definitely consider it. "We'll see. Bye Scott and thank you for calling me."

"You're welcome. Hope to see you soon."
