He was dreaming of his sister. Over and over again she would rip out his heart, his body falling to the cool floor of the morgue. Theo Raeken was scarred by what he had been through underground; each day was a reminder that he had killed his sister and that there was no going back. That's when the screams started to sound throughout the apartment.

Kayla quickly opened her eyes and saw her boyfriend thrashing under the sheets. The sun started to rise in Beacon Hills, allowing the light to shine through the curtains on her window. Her hands immediately shook his shoulders, bringing him back to reality.

"Theo! Theo, wake up. It's just a dream! Theo!"

His eyes snapped open and he let out a roar. Eyes glowed their bright gold when he looked at his surroundings; he was in Kayla's apartment, in her bed, right next to her. He was safe.

Kayla ran to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water. She sat down next to Theo and handed him the drink. "What was it about?"

Theo took a long sip, the cold water refreshing his throat as it was sore from screaming. "My sister – her literally ripping my heart out over and over again. She's going to haunt me for the rest of my life."

Kayla swung her legs over his lap and scooted closer to him. Her hands wove around his neck when she spoke, "I used to have nightmares of the Dread Doctors; the experiments they did to me all rushing back into my mind. But you know what got me through it? You."

Something Theo Raeken doesn't do a lot is smile. His past was rough and he never had a reason to show how contented he was, because he wasn't. Ever since the day before Senior year, he would smile everyday. The reason why? Kayla Whittemore. She was the only person who gave him a chance and forgave him when he shouldn't have been forgiven. Theo kissed her lips and brought her body over his.

"Kayla open the door – oh god I can hear you guys!"

Kayla got off of Theo and went to go see who was there. Like Liam had said last night, he was at the door. "Oh yay, here to babysit Theo?"

Liam sighed, knowing she didn't like this. "Scott and the others will be waiting for us. Hayden's in the car and we just need you two. So come on."
