extra: prom

since jeff was stupid and didn't have us see prom (or graduation which i'm doing next) i'll be doing it for this story. enjoy!!

Kayla's face immediately lit up in a smile when she saw Stiles pacing back and forth in the empty hallways. The bell would be ringing any minute now, and he was planning on doing a promposal to Lydia.

"A little nervous there?" she laughed and held into his arm so he would stop moving.

Stiles ran his hand through his slightly grown out hair. "I – I don't even know what to say. Liam has the poster ready, but me being me, this plan is going to go up in flames."

"Theo gave me a donut box from Dunkin' Donuts saying 'Donut be lonely Saturday night: prom?'" He had awoke the blonde in their shared apartment with those box of donuts; it was cheesy of course, but Kayla said yes.

Stiles stopped worrying all of a sudden, nodding his head. "Wow that's cliché. I got this though, the bell should be–"

He was cut off by the hallways getting filled with students. Stiles quickly got the roses out of his locker and waited outside the door. Kayla stepped off to the side, getting out her phone to record this moment; it would be a good memory at their wedding.

Lydia walked out of the classroom, stopping when she saw Stiles with flowers. "Aw what's this for?"

"Lydia Camille-Grace Martin, I have had the honor of actually dating you for these past few weeks. Like, I never thought this would happen in elementary school--"

"Stiles," Kayla whispered and he realized he was rambling.

"Oh god sorry," he told her which earned a laugh from Lydia. "What I'm saying is, to complete my fifteen year plan...will you go to prom with me?"

Liam came running out with the poster, but tripped over someone's foot, tearing the paper in half. Stiles goes to yell at him, but Lydia takes the flowers and smiles brightly with her matching rose-red lips. "Of course I will."

The two kiss in the hallway and everyone around them claps. Kayla takes Lydia by the arm and drags her away, "Sorry, but we need dresses!"

"Oh my god."

"You look like royalty in it!"

Kayla twirled around in the mirror and instantly fell in love with the dress she had on. It was a cream color with lace and gems running along the front. Malia and Lydia looked at her dress in awe and wish they had picked out that one. Lydia had a red dress to compliment her strawberry blonde hair while Malia had an aqua colored dress.

The blonde went back into the dressing room to change back into her regular clothes. "Did you say Scott was bringing you, Mal?"

"Friends," Malia immediately stated to her friends. "Just friends, nothing else."

Lydia chuckled and patted her shoulder. "We get it."

All the girls had gotten ready at Lydia's house, waiting for their dates to arrive. Natalie Martin came up to the room and almost squealed at how beautiful they looked. "Aw girls, you all are so gorgeous! Picture time!"

Lydia stood in the middle as she was the smallest. The flash went off, all of them giving off their bright smiles. Natalie told them the boys were here, so one-by-one they descended down the stairs. Kayla was the last one, making eye contact with Theo, who was already staring at her. He almost dropped the corsage in his hand, but managed to hold onto it.

"Wow," he kissed her cheek and put the corsage on her wrist. "You look absolutely stunning."

Kayla pinned the boutonniere on his tux and slicked back a piece of hair that was falling on his forehead. "Same to you."

"The limo's out front," Scott motions outside. "You guys ready for our senior prom?"

Slow songs weren't really Theo's thing, but with Kayla's head resting against his while 'The Night We Met' played, he suddenly loved slow songs. They both swayed side to side in sink, feeling like they were the only two people left in the room.

"I never thought I would be having this moment right now," he whispers right next to her ear. "Dancing with you at prom...it was a dream I always used to have, and now it's a reality."

Kayla lifts her head up and touches Theo's cheek softly. "You are the man of my dreams and I love you so much."

And then they kissed in front of all the people who thought they would never make it together.

PROM SHOULD'VE HAPPENED IN TEEN WOLF I AM STILL UPSET!!! but this is so cute and i'm so glad I wrote this, idk if anyone else has done so sorry if that's the case lol.
