I felt her move against me, her body's warmth was a welcomed feeling that contrasted with the cool air. I gazed through sleep ladened eyes at the steady rise and fall of her chest. She looked so peaceful and angelic as she dozed on, no doubt dreaming about something that made her happy judging from the look on her face. I twisted out of the violet coloured silk sheets to see the clock on the bedside table

05:57.

Suddenly a garbled cry came from the baby monitor and Catalina immediately flew into action, moving to roll out of our bed, eyes still closed.

"No," I stopped her,"I'll get them,"

I kissed her cheek and crept out of bed. Finding my shorts in the semi darkness was certainly a task but nonetheless I made it and slinked across the deserted hall to the nursery.

"Now which one of you is it?" I mumbled sleepily as the sun began to slowly creep above the horizon

I checked each crib before I found two wide brown eyes, very much like my own staring back at me.

"Aw, did something wake you up babygirl?" I scooped her out of the crib and held her close in my arms as her whimpers subsided.

I brushed aside the stray ringlets from Selene's face and marveled at the fact that when she was born, she barely had a few wisps of hair.

Time is definitely flying.

"You guys are growing too fast for my liking," I bemoaned,"Come, lets go for a walk."

I checked in on Junior but he was still fast asleep clutching his pillow. I pulled his comforter over him before making my way downstairs to the kitchen. I placed Selene in her rocker then moved to make her bottle.

"How does mummy do it Lene?" I asked her as if she could talk,"Two scoops of formula right? Yes let's go with that and two scoops of milk and then water."

I shook the bottle and placed it in the microwave to heat it up but Selene started to cry again, bringing a startled Lucky into the room.

"No don't cry, don't cry, it's alright, it's alright babygirl," I bounced her in my arms as Lucky ran in frenzied circles around me,"I know you're worried about her buddy but she's okay, stop it before you make me fall,"

I took the bottle of out the microwave, tested it before giving it to her.

"I should've brought my phone, this would be the best picture ever," Catalina leaned in the doorframe,"Caption: Daddy duties."

"Just another way for them to see me shirtless huh?" I smirked, wiping away the spit from Selene's mouth with her rag.

"I love giving the people what they want," she winked at me.

"Quick question, you use two scoops of formula when making their bottles right?" I asked sincerely.

"Yes I do," she chuckled sitting down next to me.

"You shouldn't second guess yourself," she
running a hand down my shoulder,"You're their Dad, you know what's best for them."

"I just want everything to be perfect for them," I admitted,"What if I do something wrong?"

"Don't think like that," she kissed me on the forehead,"I'll go and wake Junior up, he has to get to school early today."

"Alright." I said as she climbed the stairs.

.............................

"Junior are you done?" Catalina called up the stairs.

"Yes Mom," He responded in a sing song voice.
