3rd person POV

"You're here rather early, Juvia."

"Hello, how have you been?"

"Good. I should be the one asking you that, you know."

"Ah well, I'm fine."

"Fine? Then why are you here a week early? I was expecting to see you next week. Are you up to something next week? Somewhere to go?"

"Hmm, somewhere to go is one way of putting it---ouch!"

"Sorry, relax your hand, please."

"Funny how I'm still not used to this, after all these years."

"This is not something anyone should get used to, if you'd ask me. Especially you, Juvia."

Juvia bit her lip and chuckled bitterly, "Fate had other plans, Sherria."

The pink-haired woman sighed as she pressed a cotton ball onto the small wound that her syringe made on Juvia's arm, "Hold on to that, please."

Juvia did as she was told and watched Sherria as she immediately placed a micropore tape over the cotton ball, securing it over the small wound. Sherria then proceeded to push the contents of the syringe--Juvia's blood--into different test tubes that had Juvia's name on it. Juvia's name and...her experiment code.

"Any headaches, Juvia?"

"None. Well, at least none that I think were related to what I have."

Sherria shook her head and capped the used syringe and threw it to the proper disposal bin. She took the tray of test tubes and she put her free hand on her hip as she raised an eyebrow at Juvia, "You know, you have to be clearer than that. Any headaches should be recorded."

Juvia chuckled, "It's the kind of headache I'm sure not caused by the tumor in my head, Sherria."

"Ah, well then. What is it?" Sherria teased, "A guy, maybe? Finally?"

Juvia fiddled with her fingers and nodded, "A guy."

"So!" Sherry slightly jostled the tray of Juvia's samples and continued, "Somewhere to go and a guy, huh?"

Juvia smiled bitterly, "Somewhere to go, and a guy."

"Spill!" Sherria exclaimed.

Juvia took in a deep breath, "I can't believe I'll be saying this, Sherria. I can't believe I'll actually come to this point."

"So can't I--"

"Please call my lawyer for this experiment, Sherria." Juvia said sadly.

Sherria held the tray of samples with both of her hands now because she was caught so off-guard, she might drop the precious samples.

"Also--"

"Please don't say it, Juvia--"

"--if you would be so kind, Nurse Sherria. Kindly call the experiment's lead and tell her that I wish to see her once my lawyer arrives."

Sherria set the tray on the bed beside where Juvia was seated and she held both Juvia's hands, "Juvia, you...this can only mean one of two things. Either you're dropping out of the experiment or you're taking your participation a notch higher."

Juvia just nodded.

"You gonna go with us tonight, Kagura? Let's drink since you won that big case!"

"No, sir. Sorry. I also don't drink." Atty. Kagura Mikazuchi told her superior, Atty. Sting Eucliffe.

"Stop calling me sir! I feel old!" Sting patted her shoulder.
