Juvia's POV

His face darkened as he looked at me sharply, his eyes piercing my soul.

"What?" He asked. His voice sounds so serious.

"I know you heard it loud and clear. I don't need to repeat it," I said as I tried to brace myself for what's about to come.

"Then why?" He asked once again. I sighed to calm myself because I know at any given minute, I might just collapse from nervousness.

"There's no point in telling you my reasons. My decision is final. I'm not going with you." I said monotonously.

"Are you damn insane?!" I almost jumped in shock when he shouted angrily as he slammed his fist on his table.

"What's wrong with you!? Are you even thinking right now?! Do you even know what you're saying?!" He hissed, his entire being seething with anger.

"...Kazuki Leon Dale." I heard him mutter, but it's enough for me to hear. Why is he bringing up my past boss? Wait. Don't tell me...

"Is he the reason why you changed your mind?" I knew it! That topic again. Ugh. How many times do I have to tell him that Kazuki-san and I don't have a relationship!

"Tell me! Is he the reason Juvia?!" He yelled. I want to punch his face right now. He is such a jerk. I don't know why, but I felt a pang in my chest. So he still sees me like a pathetic slut.

"Kazuki has nothing to do with this! This is my own decision" I exclaimed.

"And now you're taking his side. Fine be that way. Go and be with your man, damn it!" He said angrily. I looked at him disbelief.

"Okay," I said in a low voice as I raised my hands, hinting that I'm surrendering. "Sure, fine. Think whatever you like. You won't believe me anyway. There's no point in telling you my reasons. I'm done. Thanks for everything." I said as I marched my feet towards the door ready to leave.

"What happened to the pleading you made just for your kids to stay with you? I thought you don't want to be far from your kids, but what are you doing? You're the one who's distancing yourself from them..." There was a long pause. My hands are shaking while I'm holding the door knob, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.

"All of them..." he paused as he looked at my eyes with an emotion I can't decipher, "...tell me Juvia, all of that... was all of that just an act?" He said with pain in his voice. This time, my tears fell down like waterfalls. I yanked the door open and hurried out of his office as fast I can. His words are enough to stab me.

"Autumn, how many times do I have to tell you that the cow's color isn't pink? And its feet is only four, not six! I don't even know if that's an animal or an alien!" I heard Storm said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. Oh there they are again with the cow thingy.

"There's a cow like this! God is creative and artistic so I know he made something like this!" Autumn argued back.

"Yes, He is but He did not and never did make an alien cow." Storm said as he rolled his eyes.I knocked at their door to catch their attention and when they saw me, they smiled and ran to me. They gave me a tight hug. I didn't know that I was shedding tears. I just felt liquid rolling from my eyes. I don't want to leave them. I don't want to leave my babies....but I have to.

"Kids, it's time to go to sleep." I said to them and they just tightened their hugs. I hugged them back, knowing that I should be savoring every second of this moment.

"Read us a story, Mommy!" Autumn said. I smiled at her and nodded,

 "Sure!"

_______

"...and they lived happily ever after!" I closed the book and looked at them. They are sleeping so peacefully.

I felt a pang in my chest. I wish my life was like in the fairy tale I read them. That I will have my happily ever after--but, I guess, you just can't get what you want no matter how hard you try.

I kissed Autumn and Storm and hugged them tightly. This is it... I'm going to leave them. My two angels, my light, my love, my life.

I hope that with my decision to focus on my treatment a hundred percent now, I will be given a life long enough so I can still see them in the future.

I hope that someday, they will understand why Mommy needed to leave them.

3rd Person POV

--Days later--

"These are all the things I found out about her."

Gray looked through the small parcel handed to him by a man he decided to meet at a coffee shop today. He pulled out the contents. It contained folders and pictures and a flash drive.

"Did you have any trouble with money? With getting all these?"

"Nothing over the budget you gave, Sir. That, and a little charm with the ladies went a long way."

"Good. Here's the other half of the payment, as agreed." Gray proceeded to affix his signature on a cheque. He tore it off from the pad and handed it to the man across him.The man stared wide-eyed at the cheque, to which Gray smirked, "And a little extra for being so prompt."

"Thank you, Sir." The man bowed his head in gratitude and then a small frown had settled on his lips, "If I may say, you might want to look at the contents of the flash drive when you are in a private place where it's just you and you alone.

"Gray picked up the flash drive and looked at it and stared back at the man, "Why so?"

The man visibly swallowed the lump in his throat and gave a few shakes of his head, "Let's just say that I wish I wouldn't have known the things that I learned from knowing her, Sir."

Gray sat there, wondering what the guy was talking about.
