"I'm not eating," He said coldly.
"But Gray-sa—"
"I said I'm not eating. Do you get that or do you need more explaining?" He hissed and rolled his eyes. I slowly lowered my head and tried to blink away the tears that are forming in my eyes.
"I'm going. Move it. I'm late for work. You're blocking my way." He tells me as he started to walk and his shoulders hit mine, causing me to drop the plate that I'm holding. The plate broke with a loud crash and caused a mess on the floor. I hear the door close violently, shaking the threshold.
I allow the tears to finally fall and I smile bitterly as a sob escaped me. Today is our wedding anniversary. Yes, we've been married for four years. We were happy back then. He was my first love. He loved me more than anything...but it didn't last because I committed one mistake that made him the way he is now. He didn't trust me anymore, nor did he believe me. He was blinded by anger. He won't listen to me. In his eyes, I am a pathetic slut, a whore, a bitch, who hurt him.
Since that incident happened, he has been cold and heartless. He hurts me not only emotionally but also physically. I know it hurts and it may even be pointless, but here I am—staying by his side and enduring the pain. I do my best to not give up on him because I know that the man I love is still somewhere in him.
I sighed and kneeled to start picking up the pieces of the plate scattered on the floor. My tears have kept my vision blurry.
Gray- sama...it's our anniversary today. It hurts that you don't remember it.

"Uhm, Gray-sama," I said shyly. He's seated across from me at our dining area.
"What?" He replied coldly, not looking at me.
"Uhm, today is our anniversary." I said with a low voice.
"So?" He said with no emotion. I looked at him imploringly but he just stared at me blankly.
"So what if it's our anniversary? In case you've forgotten, there's nothing to celebrate, because you—" he pointed his fork at me, "you destroyed our relationship. So if you want to celebrate or whatever, do as you please. There's nothing in it for me." And with that, he stood up and dropped his fork on the plate unceremoniously.I stifled a sob. He still believes that I... How would I...? Can't he understand that I never cheated on him!? It was an accident! I want to give up, but my heart keeps telling me not to. I still believe that he'll realize the truth, eventually.
Flashback
"Juvia, I'm going on a field work with Natsu and Erza." Gray said while buttoning up his dress shirt.
"Can Juvia come?" I asked.
"No, you can't. Traveling is dangerous now. Natsu, Erza, and I have just been called as part of the business continuity plan. If something bad happens to you, I don't think I'll be able to forgive myself." He said. I slowly nodded. He kissed the the crown of my head.
"Don't be sad. Besides...I know you're still sore." He smirked. I blushed hard and I covered my face with my pillow. He chuckled as he gently grabbed the pillow away from my face and pecked me on my lips.
"I'll be gone for two days. Take care, Juvia. I'll miss you." He said. I hugged him one more time and told him that I'll see him soon. I sighed. Two days? That's so long.I hear the front door close and the sound of his car's engine roaring as he zoomed away. I stayed in bed for another hour until I decided to cook brunch.
"Ouch!" I squinted as I stood up and felt the soreness. I can't wear shorts. Maybe I'll just wear Gray-sama's clothes. I slowly walked into his closet and picked one of his shirts.
I'm in the middle of cooking, when someone knocked at our door.
"Who is it?" I shouted but I got no response. He just knocked again. Could it be Gray-sama? Had he forgotten something? Or maybe his work for the day has been cancelled?
"Who is it?" I shouted again, but he just kept knocking. I groaned and stomped my way to get the door. In my frustration, I didn't check who the unhappy camper was through the peephole, and just opened the door right away. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. It was a man, wearing a black mask. Oh shit. I quickly tried to close the door but I failed because he blocked the door with his foot. Well, let's break that foot then. I put my shoulder against the door and I mustered all my strength to either break his foot or for him to retract it. I looked down and saw that he was wearing a steel-toe shoe. This guy was ready. I tried to look around for anything I can reach to get rid of him and didn't notice that I reduced the pressure on the door. His arm wedged through the opening and wrapped his hand around my neck in a death grip. I struggled to breathe and I loosened my hold on the door.
