Look at this!! So, so awesome to see this support!
This is what America is truly about. In the midst of all of the law enforcement-related articles I saw tonight, good or bad, this one stood out to me. Most articles were not all that good by the way... officers injured (some stable, others in critical condition), officers killed in the line of duty, etc.
Credits go to PoliceOne and Associated Press for this article:"Dallas police are praising a group of people who helped a critically injured officer by scrambling down into a creek bed and stabilizing the officer's patrol car after it was forced off the road by another vehicle.
At least 10 people went into the creek bed Monday. Video posted to social media shows them pushing against the top of the heavily damaged patrol car after it toppled onto its passenger side.
The unidentified officer was pulled from the wreckage and the officer's condition later was upgraded to stable.

Back to me:
I've seen people do things like this for officers before, but not in a big group like this. (I assume most of these people arrived seperately.) It restores my faith in humanity, because I would never expect to see this, especially in today's hateful atmosphere.
With some citizens getting in officers' faces with cameras, often making a big thing out of nothing, then posting all over social media to go viral...
The mainstream media degrading the reputation of LEOs by playing up the story without all of the facts just for the money...
And officers being ambushed and our assaulted left and right (but like I said in one of the last updates, attacks on LE have decreased since Trump's inauguration)...
It just seems like officers have been getting the blunt of the blow for a long time.
But this is the type of thing that makes me smile, as if we're making some progress as a nation. At times, it seems as if we're coming together as we once were, helping our fellow man, which sometimes seems so long ago.
It's been a long time coming and we've still got a long ways to go, but it seems like we're heading in the right direction.
