Chapter 4

Veronica P.O.V

The Date was going great! But after I asked him what he does for a living he freaked out. He kept stuttering and wouldn't stop.

"You know what, its alright if you don't want to tell me now." I think I just made him a little nervous.

We finished dinner after 2 hours.  Geeze. We got up and left the restaurant. Peter took my hand and said, "My turn to take you somewhere. "
Bruno p.o.v.

I decided to take her somewhere in Chicago that not very many people get to see everyday. I knew a few people that worked in the Lincoln Park zoo. On our way there I asked her a question.

"Hey Veronica,  what's your favorite animal?" With an Immediate response, "TURTLES!" I take it she loves turtles.

"My nickname is turtle that's why I love them so much. "

"Why that nickname?"

"Well when I was younger I tend to move slower on land than in the water.  I was a competitive swimmer when I was 10 until I was about 20."

"That's explain the body." I started to flirt with her. As we walked there our hands kept bumping into each other. I finally made a move and held her hand. She seemed surprised when I did it.

"What?" I asked

"Nothing, just, I have never gotten to this point where a guy was actually interested in me."

"If you don't mind me asking, but when was your last relationship exactly?"

"Well I thought it was a relationship, but the guy didn't. I thought we dated for almost 5 months until one day he told me something. "

"You dont have to tell me if you don't want to."

"Thanks."

We made it to the zoo finally and I took her to the turtle section. When we got there she just thought we were going to look at them. Until I brought her inside the tank.

My friend Bobby was there to give us our suits and goggles. Veronica nearly freaked out, she looked so cute . Once we got everything on I hopped in first. She was so excited she just dove straight down. We swam around for a while. While underwater she came up to me making a fishy face, then she grabbed my cheeks and mushed them together. I couldn't help but smile, she gave me a kiss and swam away like a mermaid. I couldn't help but float there because,  I think I just fell in love.
Veronica P.O.V.

Peter is such a fantastic guy! He brought me to the zoo to swim with the turtles and he practically understands me! He listens to me, actually responds to me, takes an interest in me and so much more! I just hope I don't fall really hard for him and he ends up leaving me.

We finished up the date and he walked me home, took me up to my apartment and gave me a kiss before I closed the door.

"Call you for the next date," Peter said. "Cant wait," I respond. And that was the end of the best date ever!
